Cabo San Lucas Boat Cruises – Sunset Yacht Cruise w/Chef Dinner & Open Bar

A yacht rental in Cabo San Lucas, in the strict sense of renting a boat and driving it yourself, is not something I found on GetYourGuide. What I found are three yacht trips with a crew, from $40 to $399, and only one of them is private. For the other boat trips I compared, see my guide to boat tours in Cabo San Lucas. Prices are in US dollars, checked in October 2026, and booking links are affiliate links, as I explain on my about page.

My pick for a yacht rental in Cabo San Lucas is the Cabo Trek private express cruise at $399, if you want the boat for yourselves: 1 hour, up to 10 guests, 5.0 from only 4 reviews. For a budget day with a beach, I’d take the $40 yacht to Lover’s Beach.

Yacht Rentals Cabo San Lucas

Yacht rentals in Cabo San Lucas show up in search as both bareboat and crewed hire, and in my data every yacht comes with a captain. The Cabo Trek yacht is a 33-foot Sea Ray 330 Express Cruiser, described as comfortable for up to 10 guests. It runs one hour: out of the marina, the Arch, Lover’s Beach, Pelican Rock, the sea lion colony and Medano Beach. After booking, you receive a proposed start time and confirm or ask for another.

Taxes, fees and marine park fees are included, while hotel pickup and souvenir photos are not. The operator says it can tailor the cruise if you plan a cake or champagne. With 5.0 from 4 reviews, the rating is perfect but thin: one reviewer says it was better than the crowded group boats and saw sea lions and whales.

Boat Rentals Cabo San Lucas

Boat rentals in Cabo San Lucas, where you steer yourself, are not in my data. The closest cheap thing is the aquaholic Lover’s Beach yacht at $40 per person: a 45-minute cruise to Lover’s Beach or Pelican Beach, then at least 2 hours of free time on the sand. A professional captain and crew run it, with life jackets, shade and the $5 dock fee included, and a maximum of 10 guests. Departures are at 10:00 AM or 12:00 PM.

You meet at Gregory Tours in front of the surfboard sculpture, 30 minutes before the start. Food and drinks are not included, so bring your own. It has 5.0 from 3 reviews, so it is a low-risk, low-evidence pick. One reviewer wrote that it had a much nicer boat than most others they saw, and that they were dropped off at Lover’s Beach and saw whales.

Private Yacht Charter Cabo San Lucas

A private yacht charter in Cabo San Lucas is the Cabo Trek trip in my data, and a sailing boat on my sailing page. The sailboat is a 38-foot private boat from Cabo Sailing Ocean Adventures at $600 for 3 hours, with food, drinks, snorkeling gear and towels included. Per hour it costs less than half what the yacht does, though it is a sailboat and not a motor yacht.

Per person, the numbers change with your group. A group of ten on the Cabo Trek yacht pays about $40 each for an hour, which is the same as the shared yacht to Lover’s Beach, and gets a private boat. A couple pays $200 each. I would only pick it for four or more people, or for a proposal or birthday.

Private Boat Charter Cabo San Lucas

For a private boat charter in Cabo San Lucas, the main things to check are start time, length and what is in the price. Cabo Trek lets you confirm the start time after booking. Cabo Sailing says tours can be extended on request. Neither listing gives an overtime price, so ask before you plan a long evening.

The shared yacht in my data does not offer that choice. The Wild Cabo sunset yacht has a fixed schedule: 2 hours of cruising and 1 hour for dinner. If you want a charter that you control, I’d pick one of the two private boats and read what the operator sends after you book.

Boat Charter Cabo San Lucas

A boat charter in Cabo San Lucas also includes fishing boats, which I haven’t compared on this page. There are fishing charter companies on the Google Maps list for the marina, such as Cabo Sportfishing Crew, Pisces Sportfishing Fleet and Mar Vida Sportfishing, but I have no prices or ratings for them. The comparison here is for yachts and for sightseeing.

If you want to leave from the marina on a crewed boat with a meal, the Wild Cabo chef-dinner yacht is the third trip on this page. It is shared, not a charter, but it is the only yacht in my data with a chef.

Luxury Yacht Charter Cabo San Lucas

The luxury yacht charter in Cabo San Lucas that I’d point to is the Wild Cabo sunset yacht with a chef dinner and open bar. It costs $199 for 3 hours: a sunset cruise that overlooks the Arch, dinner with fish, chicken or vegan options, beer, wine and mixed drinks, live music and games with an MC, hotel pickup and gratuities. Children under 18 are not allowed. It checks in at Dock 0 next to La Terminal, behind the Breathless Resort.

It is rated 4.2 from 31 reviews, the lowest of the three, though one reviewer calls it one of the highlights of their trip and says it felt lively but not crowded with about 20 guests and 8 crew. I’d read the latest reviews before booking. More on its evening trips is on my sunset cruise page.

Booking a Yacht Rental in Cabo San Lucas

A yacht rental in Cabo San Lucas is best booked early for the date you want, because there are only three yacht trips in my data and the private one has a single start time to confirm. All three refund in full up to 24 hours ahead. The Cabo Trek listing asks you to confirm or change the proposed start time after booking, so reply to the message quickly.

Read what is not included before you pay for a yacht rental in Cabo San Lucas: the Cabo Trek listing leaves out hotel pickup and photos, and the aquaholic trip leaves out food and drinks. Compare a yacht rental in Cabo San Lucas by the price per person for your group size, not the headline price, and ask about extra hours before you commit.

Group size decides value. A yacht rental in Cabo San Lucas for two people costs far more per head than the shared trips, and for ten it costs about the same as the beach day.

How I’d Choose a Yacht in Cabo San Lucas

For a private yacht rental in Cabo San Lucas I’d book the Cabo Trek express cruise, and for a group that wants three private hours I’d look at the sailboat. For a day at the beach, the $40 trip. For a dinner, the Wild Cabo yacht.
