ARENAL DIVING IBIZA
Snorkeling and SUP Paddle, Beach and Cave Tour
4.7 (1,437) · from $67

Boat tours in Ibiza fall into five kinds: party boats, Formentera day trips on a catamaran, snorkeling cruises, private boats with a skipper and rentals you drive yourself. I compared 18 Ibiza boat tours, from $51 to $1,290, and the cheapest is not always the best value. Prices are in US dollars, checked in October 2026, and the booking links are affiliate links, as I explain on my about page.
My pick for a first boat tour in Ibiza is the Arenal Diving snorkeling and sunset trip from San Antonio: $79, 3 hours, rated 4.7 from 538 reviews, with beer, sangria and snorkeling gear included. If your priority is the nightlife, I’d book the Aftersun sunset boat party: $90, rated 4.6 from 1,565 reviews, the most reviewed trip in my list.
Ibiza boat tours come in two moods: music and cold drinks, or masks and fins. The snorkeling side is led by Arenal Diving, whose snorkeling and SUP trip is the highest rated cheap option I found at $67 for 3 hours, 4.7 from 1,437 reviews. It leaves from the San Antonio promenade, stops in two coves (the listing names Cala Bassa and Cala Comte) and includes snorkeling gear, a paddleboard, beer and sangria.
The party side of boat tours in Ibiza is bigger than you might expect. The Create Ibz sunset boat party costs $134 and bundles the boat with entry to two clubs or pool parties, chosen from a list of venues that includes O Beach, Cova Santa, Blue Marlin and Eden. The ticket is valid for seven days, and the boat leaves from Playa d’en Bossa at 5:30 PM. Its 4.7 rating comes from just 26 reviews, so I treat it as promising rather than proven.

ARENAL DIVING IBIZA
My pick: Best cheap snorkeling: $67, 3 hours, SUP and sangria included, 4.7 from 1,437 reviews.

Create Ibz
My pick: Boat plus two club entries: $134, leaves 5:30 PM, unlimited drinks, 4.7 from only 26 reviews.
The boat tours in Ibiza that people book most are the sunset parties. Aftersun takes over the Ibiza Boat Club at Playa d’en Bossa: $90 for 3 hours, with an open bar of beer, sangria, soft drinks and water, one swim stop, a Funktion One sound system and VIP beds for everyone on a first come, first served basis. It is English only, and the listing says the start time changes with the sunset in April, August, September and October.
At the other end, a private boat tour in Ibiza gets you away from the crowd. Blue Medusa runs a four-hour trip on a boat with a 90 hp Suzuki engine: $550 for the boat, rated 4.9 from 20 reviews. It lists snorkeling, paddleboarding, a swim stop, speakers, inflatable toys and pets allowed on board, and the named coves are Cala Conta, Cala Bassa, Cala Salada, Es Vedra and Ses Margarites. For more of this style, see my page on private boat tours in Ibiza.

Aftersun Ibiza
My pick: The crowd favourite: $90, 3 hours, open bar and swim stop, 4.6 from 1,565 reviews.

Blue Medusa Boats
My pick: Private and quiet: $550 for the boat, 4 hours, snorkeling and SUP, 4.9 from 20 reviews.
Of all the Ibiza boat tours on the cruise side, the Float Cala Salada trip is the one that fills a day for the least money: $51 for 6 hours, rated 4.4 from 889 reviews. It sails on a double-decker catamaran from the San Antonio harbour, visits the Cap Blanc aquarium, gives you a one-hour swim stop and a three-hour beach stop, and includes beer, sangria, cava, soft drinks, fruit and snorkeling gear. The paella menu and paddleboarding are extras.
For a cruise with a soundtrack, Pukka Up is the busiest in San Antonio. It costs $73 and starts with a two-hour pre-party at Rio before the three-hour boat, with three drinks included, a photographer and a dance crew. The listing offers a daytime or a sunset boat, and its 4.3 rating comes from 25 reviews. Food is not included, so eat at the pre-party.

Float Ibiza
My pick: Most for the money: $51, 6 hours, aquarium, swim and beach stops, drinks included, 4.4 from 889 reviews.

Pukka Up
My pick: Pre-party plus boat party from San Antonio: $73, 3 drinks included, 4.3 from 25 reviews.
San Antonio is the west-coast base for Ibiza boat tours, about 13.8 kilometres in a straight line from the harbour in Ibiza Town by my measurement from the place coordinates. It has the sunset coast, so it suits an evening on the water. Arenal Diving’s sunset version of its snorkeling trip is $79 for 3 hours, rated 4.7 from 538 reviews. You swap your voucher at the wooden kiosk in front of Palapa Bar, and the listing adds a free parking tip near the Lidl supermarket.
If you would rather have the whole boat, the Aruna charter is a traditional Balearic boat with a captain called Jaime: $1,049 for 4 to 8 hours, rated 5.0 from 14 reviews. He chooses the west coast or the north depending on the sea on the day. The price covers two SUP boards, snorkeling gear, cava, beer and refreshments, fuel and insurance, but not food.
Night tourARENAL DIVING IBIZA
My pick: My San Antonio pick: $79, 3 hours, sunset and snorkeling, 4.7 from 538 reviews.

Aruna Ibiza Charter
My pick: A private classic boat with a captain: $1,049, 4 to 8 hours, 5.0 from 14 reviews.
A boat tour in Ibiza with children works best when the boat is small and you set the pace. Daydream Boats lets you captain your own boat for up to 5 people: $309 for 4.5 to 8.5 hours, rated 5.0 from 29 reviews. Reviewers mention children and a clear briefing on how to run the boat and anchor. It includes a canopy, sun lounges, a Garmin GPS depth sounder and safety gear, but no food or drink, and the licence rules in the rentals section below apply to it.
The card beside it is honest about what it is: the Tagomago yacht charter is a leftover from this section, not a family pick. It is a private four-hour charter at $1,290 from Santa Eulalia with a captain, drinks and snorkeling gear, and it has no reviews yet. The listing excludes non-swimmers and people prone to seasickness, so I would not book it for young children.

Daydream Boats Ibiza
My pick: Your own boat for up to 5: $309, 4.5 to 8.5 hours, 5.0 from 29 reviews, families mention the clear briefing.

Rapture Charters Ibiza
My pick: Not a family pick: a $1,290 private charter to Tagomago with no reviews yet and no non-swimmers.
The best boat tours in Ibiza depend on whether you want a full day or an evening. For a full day, my pick is the Ibiza VIP Cruises Formentera catamaran: $112 for 12 hours, rated 4.4 from 772 reviews. It leaves from the Botafoch terminal and includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, an open bar, two swim stops with a water slide and paddleboards, and 5 to 7 hours of free time on Formentera. The listing says the trip lasts 10 to 12 hours depending on the season.
The second card is a small private boat, and I have to flag it. Summer Dreams offers a four-hour boat along the San Antonio coast for $269, rated 5.0 from 14 reviews. Its list of inclusions says no licence, yet the description says that from 1 October 2026 a boating licence or recognised equivalent is mandatory. Read that notice before you book.

Ibiza VIP Cruises
My pick: My full-day pick: $112, 12 hours, three meals, open bar and free time in Formentera, 4.4 from 772 reviews.

Summer Dreams Boats S.L
My pick: A $269 four-hour boat rated 5.0 from 14 reviews, with a licence notice from 1 October 2026.
A boat tour in Ibiza that goes to Formentera is a day trip that crosses open water, so it helps to know the distance: Puerto Formentera at La Savina is 19.7 kilometres in a straight line from Ibiza Harbour by my measurement. Two catamarans leave Botafoch for it. The Ibiza VIP Cruises catamaran party with a DJ and saxophonist is the short version, $67 for 3 hours from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, rated 4.8 from 187 reviews, with a swim stop at Playa d’en Bossa and a free nightclub entry.
For an actual crossing under sail, Lost in Paradise runs a sailing catamaran: $135 for 5 hours, rated 4.7 from 6 reviews. The listing names Ses Salines, Cala Pluma and Playa de Ses Illetes, and includes a BBQ cooked on board, salads, fruit and an open bar with unlimited beer. It warns people prone to seasickness off, and six reviews is thin evidence. For the full-day versions with free time on the island, see the Formentera sections below and my page on catamaran tours in Ibiza.

Ibiza VIP Cruises
My pick: Party catamaran, not a crossing: $67, 3 hours with DJ and saxophone, 4.8 from 187 reviews.

Lost in Paradise Formentera
My pick: The sailing option: $135, 5 hours, BBQ and open bar, 4.7 from only 6 reviews.
A boat tour in Ibiza does not have to be a party. The Bora Sailing day trip is the most relaxed Formentera option in my list: a private 43-foot sailboat for up to 7 guests with a local captain, $741 for 8 hours, rated 4.9 from 57 reviews. It includes snorkeling gear, stand-up paddleboards, floaties, a restroom and WiFi. The listing states food and drinks in one list of inclusions and lunch and drinks in the exclusions, so confirm what is covered with the operator.
Split between seven people, $741 is about $106 each, which sits near the price of the 12-hour shared catamaran but with no crowd. The stops named in the listing are Formentera, Playa de Ses Illetes, Es Pujols and Platja des Jondal. The pick-up point is Es Xarco, where a member of the crew meets you.

BORA SAILING
My pick: A private sailboat to Formentera: $741 for up to 7, 8 hours, captain included, 4.9 from 57 reviews.
If you want one of the boat tours in Ibiza that ends in a party, the Lost in Paradise Formentera catamaran cruise is the long version: $131 for 12 hours, rated 4.3 from 68 reviews. It includes breakfast, a paella lunch with aioli, an open bar with two cocktails, paddleboards and snorkeling gear, and 7 hours of free time on Formentera. The golden-hour party with a DJ is the closing act, with a view of Es Vedra.
Two details matter. The listing has two meeting points, and which one applies depends on the option you pick at checkout. VIP sunbeds on the upper deck are a separate charge of 100 euros, and towels are not included. Its 4.3 is the lowest rating among the big Formentera boats, so I would choose it over the Ibiza VIP Cruises trip only if the Lost in Paradise schedule fits your day.
Night tourLost in Paradise Formentera
My pick: Twelve hours with paella and a sunset DJ: $131, 4.3 from 68 reviews, VIP sunbeds cost extra.
Most Ibiza boat tours from San Antonio are shared tours, but a rental is the way to see the coast on your own timetable. The card here has to be read with care, because the Ripolbras rental leaves from Portinatx, on the north coast, not from San Antonio. The straight-line distance from the Torre de Portinatx to the San Antonio waterfront is about 22 kilometres by my measurement, so check the pier before you plan the transfer.
The listing is $202 for 4 to 8 hours and is rated 5.0 from 34 reviews. It includes fuel for the day, snorkeling gear, an awning, cushions, a small cooler and WhatsApp support, and the pick-up is the pier of the Los Enamorados restaurant. It describes a boat with a 15 hp outboard and says no licence is required. That claim needs the October 2026 check described in the rentals section below.

Ripolbras
My pick: A north-coast rental, not a San Antonio departure: $202, fuel included, 5.0 from 34 reviews.
Santa Eulalia is the quiet east side, and Ibiza boat tours from Santa Eulalia are mostly private. The only one in my data that meets there is the Tagomago yacht charter on the family card above. The card in this section is a rental in the west: the Boat rental without license listing departs from Carrer de Cantabria 2 in Sant Antoni de Portmany, next to Spins Hotel, and not from Santa Eulalia.
It is $281 for 4 to 8 hours, rated 4.4 from 38 reviews, for a maximum of four people. The boat has a 15 hp engine, and the price includes fuel, an ice box, a canopy and a solarium with mats. The anchorages named are Cala Conta, Cala Bassa, Cala Gracio, Cala Salada and Punta Galera. I would use it for the west-coast coves rather than as a Santa Eulalia trip.

Boat rental without license
My pick: A west-coast rental for up to 4: $281, fuel included, 4.4 from 38 reviews. Departs Sant Antoni, not Santa Eulalia.
Three Ibiza boat tours are sold as no-licence rentals: the Ripolbras boat in Portinatx, the Daydream boat in San Antonio and the Boat rental without license boat. The rule behind them changed. A Spanish royal decree, Real Decreto 1188/2025, rewrote article 10 of Real Decreto 875/2014 from 1 October 2026. The exemption for motorboats up to 5 metres and 15 hp now covers private use only, and a person renting a boat must hold the matching title.
So I do not treat “no licence needed” as a fact in any of these listings. Ask the operator which licence or skipper option applies to your group, and get the answer in writing. The Summer Dreams listing already says a licence is required. My page on boat rental in Ibiza compares the three rentals in more detail.
Most boat tours in Ibiza follow the west coast, where the listings name Cala Bassa, Cala Comte, Cala Salada and Es Vedra, or the crossing south to Formentera. The infographic shows the stops named in one of the Formentera listings, from the Ibiza start to S’Espalmador, Ses Illetes and the drop-off.

Stops on the route
From the water you also see Ibiza Town itself. The Castle of Ibiza stands only 0.4 kilometres from Ibiza Harbour by my measurement, and the Formentera catamarans list Dalt Vila among their sights. On the north coast, the places I would look for are Cala Xarraca and Port de Sant Miquel, which several north-side rentals use as anchorages.
Ibiza boat tours leave from four areas, and the starting point matters more here than in most cities. Sant Antoni (San Antonio) is on the west coast. Ibiza Town and the Botafoch cruise terminal serve Formentera. Playa d’en Bossa is where the party boats start. The north has small piers such as Portinatx. These are the piers, terminals and coves I would have on the map.

Boat tours in Ibiza look alike in photos, so I use five questions to choose between them.
All 18 boat tours in Ibiza I compared offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start, so book early and use that window if the weather turns. The party boat season winds down after October, and the listings give no end date, so confirm autumn dates with the operator. For the home page of my other city guides, go to the Harbour Advisor home page.

In my list a shared boat day costs $51 to $134 per ticket: $51 for the six-hour Cala Salada cruise, $67 for a three-hour snorkeling trip and $112 for the twelve-hour Formentera catamaran. Boats you take for yourselves are priced per boat, from $202 for a rental to $1,290 for the Tagomago yacht charter. Drinks and food vary by listing.
From San Antonio I'd start with the Arenal Diving snorkeling and sunset trip: $79, 3 hours, rated 4.7 from 538 reviews, leaving from the kiosk in front of Palapa Bar. For a longer day, the Float Cala Salada cruise is $51 for 6 hours, rated 4.4 from 889 reviews. The Pukka Up party boat also starts at Rio in San Antonio.
The fullest day on the water in my list is the Formentera catamaran from Botafoch: $112, 12 hours, rated 4.4 from 772 reviews, with breakfast, lunch, dinner, an open bar, two swim stops and 5 to 7 hours of free time on Formentera. For a lighter day, a three-hour snorkeling or sunset trip leaves the rest of the day free.
All 18 listings I compared offer a full refund when you cancel at least 24 hours before the start. The Float Cala Salada cruise also offers reserve now, pay later. That is the booking-platform text, so I'd read the policy on the page of the trip you choose, especially for private boats, before paying.
Four starting points cover most trips: San Antonio, where the snorkeling, Float and Pukka Up trips begin; Playa d'en Bossa for the Aftersun and Create Ibz boat parties; the Botafoch cruise terminal in Ibiza Town for the Formentera catamarans; and smaller piers such as Portinatx or Santa Eulalia for rentals and charters.
Three listings are sold as no-licence rentals, but the rule changed. A Spanish royal decree, in force from 1 October 2026, limits the licence exemption for small boats to private use. I'd ask the rental company which licence or skipper option applies to you before booking. One listing, Summer Dreams, now says a licence is required.
Some. The Aftersun listing says its start time follows the sunset in April, August, September and October, so it runs into autumn. The listings give no end-of-season date, and the party season winds down after October, so I'd confirm the date you want with the operator before you pay.
