Phuket Boat Cruises – James Bond Island Phang Nga Bay Premium Yacht Tour

A yacht rental in Phuket, in the sense of what you can book per person on GetYourGuide, is a yacht day in Phang Nga Bay, and the three I compared start at $112. They are shared tours rather than private rentals, so this page is about yacht rental in Phuket as a seat on a shared boat. For all 12 boat trips see my guide to boat tours in Phuket. Prices are in US dollars, checked in October 2026, and booking links are affiliate links, as I explain on my about page.

My pick is the One Asia Corporation premium yacht tour at $112: 6 to 7 hours, dinner and the park fee included, rated 4.6 from 1,800 reviews. For a longer day with activities I’d take the Seven Plus Travel luxury sunset catamaran at $119 (4.7 from 245 reviews). I haven’t been on any of these yachts, so I rely on the listings and review snippets.

Yacht Hire Phuket

Yacht rental in Phuket sounds like a private boat, but on these listings it is a seat. Here are the three yacht trips side by side. The vessel column gives what each listing says about the boat.

Trip Operator Price Duration Vessel Rating Cancellation
Premium yacht tour One Asia Corporation $112 6 to 7 hours Yacht 4.6 (1,800) Free up to 24 hours
Luxury sunset yacht Seven Plus Travel $119 1 day Double-deck catamaran, up to 48 guests 4.7 (245) Free up to 24 hours
Sunset yacht dinner Go Adventures (Thailand) $116 6.5 to 7.5 hours Power catamaran yacht 4.9 (41) Free up to 24 hours

All three sail from the north-east coast into Phang Nga Bay, and the biggest difference is how they spend the afternoon. One Asia and Go Adventures use Ao Po Pier; the Seven Plus Travel listing gives Phuket Smart Pier as the meeting point and says the catamaran starts from Chalong Pier. Confirm yours in the voucher.

Yacht Charter Phuket Thailand

The One Asia trip is the shortest. The itinerary has a van transfer of about 1.5 hours, a visit to Ao Po Pier, then the yacht to James Bond Island for 30 minutes and Hong Island for an hour and a half of guided canoeing, then dinner as you cruise back. The listing includes the national park fee, a life jacket, drinking water, dinner and seasonal fruit. Hotel transfer is a selectable option. A reviewer said they switched from a smaller boat and were glad they did, though another said the food was just fine and advised bringing snacks and cash.

The Go Adventures trip follows a similar route. The listing says pickup is around 12:00 to 13:00, you reach James Bond Island at about 3:15 pm, canoe at Hong Island and eat dinner at Ao Por Pier at sunset. Included are drinks, fruit, canoeing, insurance and the park fee, and the listing bars luggage, large bags, alcohol and drugs. With 41 reviews, its 4.9 is a promising number but not a proven one.

Sailing Yacht Charter Phuket

None of the three is a sailing yacht. They are motor yachts and catamarans on set tour routes, so there is no sailing under canvas to compare. If you search for a sailing yacht charter in Phuket, Google Maps lists local charter agencies, but their prices are not in my data and I haven’t compared them. What the listings do give is the vessel: a double-deck luxury catamaran for the Seven Plus Travel trip, with a maximum of 48 guests, and a power catamaran yacht for the Go Adventures trip.

The Seven Plus Travel trip has the longest list of extras: a Thai buffet lunch, a papaya salad lesson, sunset tea and dessert, snorkeling gear, towels, a sea slide, paddleboards, a clear kayak and a floating pool, plus an optional Thai water lantern release at Hong Island. It lands at James Bond Island, canoes at Hong Island and ends at Maiton Private Island. Hotel transfers cover selected Phuket zones, and the listing gives no start time, so ask.

Yacht Rentals Phuket

Yacht rentals in Phuket, meaning a whole boat for your group, do not appear among these listings. Each trip here is priced per person, and the cheapest of the three is $112, so a family of four spends about $450 to $480 on one day. That is the number to compare against a private charter quote, because a private yacht for four people can come in lower or higher depending on the boat and the hours.

For a smaller boat with a lower price, my island hopping page lists a speedboat trip at $73, and the shared big boat in the bay is $47 on my hub page. Those trips share the bay with many more people, which is the trade you make when you pay less.

Boat Charter Phuket

If you are comparing a Phuket yacht rental with other boats, the fishing and snorkeling days sit in a different price band. If you are looking for a boat charter in Phuket to fish, the right page is my fishing charter page. For snorkeling from a yacht, the Seven Plus Travel trip supplies the gear but does not list time for reefs, so the snorkeling tour page is a better guide for reef days.

Luxury Yacht Charter Phuket

The luxury label is used by two listings: the One Asia premium yacht and the Seven Plus Travel luxury catamaran. What it means in the data is a smaller group than a big boat, a meal and more activities rather than a private cabin. The listings do not mention private cabins or a crew for hire, and none claims to be a private yacht. I would use the words premium or comfortable for them.

Weather applies to any yacht: the Andaman Sea is rougher in the southwest monsoon, roughly May to October, and the Thai Meteorological Department publishes marine forecasts. All three trips offer a full refund up to 24 hours ahead, so book flexible dates.

How to Pick a Phuket Yacht Trip

I’d pick by the afternoon you want. For the shortest day, One Asia at 6 to 7 hours. For sunset and a dinner, Go Adventures. For activities and extras, Seven Plus Travel. Then check the pickup zone and whether the national park fee is included: One Asia and Go Adventures list it, and the Seven Plus Travel listing says if selected. See every Phuket trip together on my hub for boat tours in Phuket.

Phuket Yacht Rental Prices and What They Include

Phuket yacht rental prices on these three trips are $112, $116 and $119 per person, and the gap of $7 between cheapest and dearest is small enough that the inclusions decide it. One Asia includes the park fee, dinner and fruit. Go Adventures includes the park fee, dinner onboard, canoeing and insurance. Seven Plus Travel includes lunch, tea, dessert and the gear, with the park fee only if you select it.

A yacht rental in Phuket at this price is a long day. The One Asia trip has a van of 1.5 hours and a pier stop before the yacht even leaves, and the Seven Plus Travel catamaran is listed as one day. Count the van time when you compare the hours, and ask the operator which hotel zones get a free transfer, since all three treat transfer as an option you choose when booking.

Questions to Ask Before You Book a Yacht Rental in Phuket

Ask three things. First, how many guests share the boat: only the Seven Plus Travel listing gives a number, 48 at most. Second, what happens in rough weather, because the listings say nothing about it. Third, what you pay on the day: tips are listed under included for Go Adventures, which is unusual, and personal expenses are listed as not included on Seven Plus Travel.

Read the review snippets for the pattern. One Asia guests mention a nice boat and average food. Go Adventures guests describe a well-organized and luxurious trip. Seven Plus Travel has short, enthusiastic five-star reviews. None of them contradicts the listing, but none gives detail either, so I treat the ratings as a guide and not a guarantee.

A yacht rental in Phuket is also worth comparing by the clock: the shared yacht rentals in Phuket listed here run 6 to 7 hours or a full day, so pick the one that matches the evening you have free.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a yacht trip in Phuket cost?

The three yacht trips I compared cost $112, $116 and $119 per person in US dollars. All sail Phang Nga Bay with James Bond Island and Hong Island canoeing. None of them is a private charter priced per boat, so if you want to rent a whole yacht, you need to ask a charter company directly.

Can I rent a private yacht in Phuket?

Not from these listings. All three are shared yacht tours sold per person, with a catamaran carrying up to 48 guests in one case. Google Maps lists private charter agencies in Phuket, but I haven't compared their prices. Ask for what is included, the hours and the skipper before you commit.

Is dinner included on a Phuket yacht tour?

On two of the three, yes. The One Asia yacht trip and the Go Adventures sunset trip both list dinner, and the Seven Plus Travel catamaran lists a Thai buffet lunch with sunset tea and dessert. Check the option you select, because hotel transfer and meals can change with it.
