Rhodes Sea Lines
High-Speed Boat to Symi Island & Saint George's Bay
4.7 (4,165) · from $62

Boat tours in Rhodes mostly mean one of three things: a day trip across to Symi, an east-coast cruise with swim stops, or a boat you drive yourself. I compared the 12 boat tours in Rhodes you can book on GetYourGuide today, from a $34 Symi cruise to a $247 self-drive rental. Everything below comes from the operators’ own listings: prices, ratings, durations, meeting points and what is included. I haven’t been on any of these boats, so my picks rest on that data and the review snippets, not on a personal sailing.
My short answer for a first Rhodes boat tour among all the boat tours in Rhodes: I’d book the Symi cruise from Rhodes Sea Lines at $62, rated 4.7 from 4,165 reviews. If you would rather swim and eat than go to another island, I’d take the Poseidon Submarine catamaran at $67 (4.8 from 2,560 reviews). Prices are in US dollars, checked in October 2026, and the booking links are affiliate links, as I explain on my about page.
If you want the Rhodes boat tours that most travelers choose, start with Symi. Five of the 12 listings go there, and they hold the biggest review counts on the island: 4,165 for Rhodes Sea Lines, 5,796 for Sebeco Lines and 3,226 for Nautiki Etairia. The island sits across the water from Rhodes Town, and every one of these trips gives you about three hours of free time in Symi’s harbour town. The differences are the boat, the price and whether you also get a swim stop.
Of all the boat tours in Rhodes, the Rhodes Sea Lines trip at $62 leaves Mandraki Harbour on one of three boats named Aphrodite Royal, Princess and Queen. The listing promises open-air seating for every passenger and says the cruise out takes about an hour. Its itinerary gives Symi three hours, a 30-minute swim at Saint George’s Bay and a long sightseeing cruise back. Hotel transfer is optional for Faliraki, Kalithea, Ixia, Kremasti and Kolymbia, and the duration is listed as 6 to 9 hours because pickups add time. One detail matters in autumn: the listing says that in late September and October the swim stop moves to the outward journey, so you get to the bay before Symi, not on the way home.
For a different kind of day on the water, the Skevos fishing trip is the only boat tour in Rhodes that puts a rod in your hands. It costs $70 for 5 hours, has 4.8 from 482 reviews, and includes fishing gear, bait, a fish meal, unlimited soft drinks and beer, and snorkeling equipment. The boat leaves from Kolona Harbour, and the destination, either Kallithea Springs, Santa Marina bay or a shallow sandy beach, depends on the weather that day. The listing says pregnant women and wheelchair users cannot join.

Rhodes Sea Lines
My pick: My pick for a first Symi day: $62, 4.7 from 4,165 reviews, 3 hours ashore and a swim at Saint George's Bay.

Skevos Fishing Trip
My pick: The one trip with a rod in your hand: $70, 5 hours, 4.8 from 482 reviews, with a fish meal and drinks included.
The cheaper boat tours in Rhodes are also Symi crossings, and here the honest comparison is between near-identical trips. Sebeco Lines costs $35 for 7 hours, rated 4.5 from 5,796 reviews. It uses a speedboat from Kolona Harbour, with an outdoor deck and a closed air-conditioned deck, and the listing includes a guided tour, food and drinks. It does not mention a swim stop, which is the main thing you give up against the $62 trips. Reviewers like the timing, with one writing that four hours is plenty near the port, but another found the boat very crowded and the crossing choppy, so I wouldn’t pick it if you get seasick.
The Rizos Cruises trip at $35 for 8 hours is rated 4.3 from 659 reviews. It does the swim first, 30 minutes at Saint George’s Bay, then three hours in Symi Harbour, and brings you back to Rhodes at about 16:30. It includes hotel pickup and drop-off, towels, floats, an air-conditioned area and wifi, but food and drinks are not included and the onboard bar charges for them. At the same money as Sebeco you get a swim stop and the hotel transfer, so for me this is the better-value Rhodes boat trip, with a lower rating to match.

SEBECO LINES MARITIME COMPANY
My pick: The cheapest big-volume option: $35, 7 hours, 4.5 from 5,796 reviews, but no swim stop and one reviewer found it crowded.

Rizos Cruises
My pick: $35 for 8 hours with a swim at Saint George's Bay and hotel pickup included, rated 4.3 from 659 reviews.
Both of these Rhodes boat tours are for a long day, so check the return time before you plan a dinner. On the five Symi trips, the 6-hour Nautiki Etairia option is the shortest and the 8-hour Rizos and King of Rhodos trips are the longest. My island hopping page compares all five side by side.
Private boat tours in Rhodes in this dataset are boat rentals, not chartered yachts with a crew. The Gabriels Watersports listing is the one tagged private: $202 for 2 to 7.5 hours, rated 4.9 from only 44 reviews, leaving from Zephyros Beach. It includes the boat, a safety briefing, masks for everyone, a portable speaker and a cool box with ice packs, and it excludes food, drinks and fuel, which the listing puts at about 40 euros calculated at the end. The itinerary visits Kallithea, Anthony Quinn Bay, Ladiko Bay and the Traganou Caves, then returns to the base.
The licence line is the part to read carefully. The listing says no licence is required, and the team gives the information you need. That is the operator’s claim, not a rule I have confirmed, so ask which boat you will be on and what limits apply when you book. My boat rental page puts this trip next to the other two licence-free rentals and the questions to ask each.

Gabriels Watersports
My pick: A private boat for $202 with a safety briefing, rated 4.9 from only 44 reviews. Fuel of about 40 euros is extra.
I could not find a yacht tour among the 12 boat tours in Rhodes I compared, so I won’t dress up a rental as one. The largest vessels in my data are the catamaran carrying a maximum of 24 guests and the Aphrodite-class Symi boats, which sell seats, not the whole boat. If you want a private skipper, the closest listing is the Dream Boats rental, where the listing says a skipper costs an additional 50 euros for 4 hours. That is a driver for a small motorboat, not a crewed yacht, and I’d treat it that way. Operators with their own websites sell private sailing days too, and the booking pages above are not the only way to book a private day on the water in Rhodes.
Searches for a Rhodes boat trip from Marmaris come from people on the Turkish coast, and none of the 12 Rhodes boat tours I compared starts in Turkey. Every listing leaves from Rhodes itself, so this section is about the reverse question: what to book once you are on the island. The two Symi cruises with the most options for getting to the boat are these. Nautiki Etairia at $62 has hotel transfer from Faliraki, Kalithea, Ixia, Kremasti and Kolymbia, and three departures: 09:00, 11:00 and 15:15, returning at 15:00, 17:00 or 21:00. King of Rhodos at $34 takes 8 hours and promises a stop at Panormitis Monastery, Saint George’s Bay or Nanou Beach, with three hours on Symi, though the listing says the exact experience depends on the day’s operation.
Two things separate them. Nautiki Etairia has 3,226 reviews at 4.7; King of Rhodos has 69 at 4.0, so the evidence is thin, and the listing warns that people prone to seasickness should not book. The Nautiki trip is almost the same product as the Rhodes Sea Lines cruise above: both name the Aphrodite boat, wave-piercing technology and the same hotel transfer areas. I’d choose between those two on the departure time and price you can get for your date.

Nautiki Etairia Notias Rodou
My pick: Three departure times, hotel transfer and 4.7 from 3,226 reviews at $62. The same boat family as the Rhodes Sea Lines trip.

KING OF RHODOS LP
My pick: $34 for 8 hours with Panormitis Monastery and/or a swim, but only 69 reviews at 4.0. Not for the seasick.
I could not find an age limit or a child price on any of the 12 Rhodes boat tours, so I can’t say what the youngest passenger allowed is. What I can say is how the trips differ for a family. Rentals put you in charge of the schedule: the Dream Boats listing at $247 for 4 hours mentions a partner, family or friends, and includes a suntent, ladder, music system, cool box, soft drinks and bottled water. You swim off the boat at Kallithea Springs and Anthony Quinn Bay. The listing says the boat has a ladder and fresh-water shower, and a team on standby with a GPS tracker.
The trade-off for families is cost and responsibility: the fuel is a fixed 50 euros in cash, and you are the skipper. Reviewers praise the demonstration, and one said the operator moved the date when the weather turned. If your children are small or poor swimmers, I’d choose the Adventure Rib trip, a small-group boat of up to 9 passengers with life jackets and towels, over a rental, and ask the operator what age it takes. Both are on the east coast, so the water is similar.

Dream Boats
My pick: You set the pace: $247 for 4 hours from the New Marina, with a ladder, cool box and snorkel kit. Fuel is a 50 euro cash extra.
None of the 12 boat tours in Rhodes is sold as a sunset cruise, so I don’t have a sunset trip with a verified departure time to recommend. The closest thing in my data is the third Nautiki Etairia departure: it leaves Mandraki Harbour at 15:15 and gets back at 21:00 according to the listing. That is a Symi day cruise that finishes in the evening, so you see the harbour at Symi in the afternoon light and return after dark; it isn’t a sunset sail. The Rhodes Sea Lines and Romantika listings give day schedules only.
The Maps data does show boat agencies in Mandraki that advertise evening cruises, but I haven’t compared a bookable product for them, so I’ll leave them out. If a sunset is what you are after, check the sunset time for your date from the Hellenic National Meteorological Service at hnms.gr and match it against the return time on the trip you book. Greek clocks go back an hour on 25 October 2026, which moves late October sunsets earlier on your watch.
When I rank the best boat tours in Rhodes by rating and reviews together, the Poseidon Submarine catamaran comes out on top for an east-coast day. It scores 4.8 from 2,560 reviews at $67 for 6 hours, and the listing caps the group at 24 guests. It stops at Ladiko Bay, Anthony Quinn Bay and Kalithea Springs, about an hour each for swimming and snorkeling, and includes a Mediterranean buffet lunch, unlimited wine and beer from 12:00 PM, soft drinks, water, snorkeling gear and an outdoor shower. The listing says people with mobility impairments cannot join, and you meet the crew at the Catamaran Cruises Rhodes kiosk in Mandraki Harbour.
The second card here is a leftover that I want to be straight about: the B Boat self-drive rental at $242 for 4 hours has no rating, because GetYourGuide shows none yet, and one of its two review snippets says the provider did not turn up. I would not call it one of the best boat tours in Rhodes, and I’d choose the Dream Boats or Gabriels rental before it. Its included list is also contradictory about food, listing refreshments as both included and excluded, so confirm that before you pay.

Poseidon Submarine
My pick: The best-reviewed east-coast day: $67, 4.8 from 2,560 reviews, buffet lunch and unlimited drinks, max 24 guests.

B BOAT O.E.
My pick: A leftover, not a top pick: $242 rental with no rating yet and a no-show complaint. Ask questions before booking.
Among Rhodes boat tours, the Romantika wooden-boat day cruise is the one built around food and company. It costs $81 for 6 hours, with 4.7 from 629 reviews, and is the most expensive shared trip in my data. The boat leaves Mandraki Old Port at 10:00 and returns at 16:00, stopping at Kallithea Springs, Afandou Beach and Anthony Quinn Bay for about an hour each. The price includes an aperitif, a Greek buffet with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, an open bar with wine, beer and signature cocktails, and snorkeling gear.
Compared with the Poseidon catamaran, Romantika is a bigger party boat with music and Greek dancing, and it costs $14 more for the same number of hours. Hotel pickup is optional and costs extra depending on distance. If your idea of a Rhodes boat tour is a long lunch with swimming, this is the trip. If you want a quieter small group, the catamaran above is closer.

Romantika Day Cruise
My pick: A wooden-boat day with buffet and open bar: $81, 6 hours, 4.7 from 629 reviews. The most social of the shared trips.
Boat excursions in Rhodes do not all need a full day. For a short boat tour in Rhodes, the Adventure Rib trip is the one I’d look at. It is a 2.5-hour boat trip along the east coast for $62, rated 4.8 from 521 reviews, with groups of up to 9. You get about 20 minutes in the water at each of Anthony Quinn Bay, Ladiko, the Alikies caves area and Traganou Bay, plus snorkeling gear, towels, life jackets, soft drinks and bottled cocktails. Waterproof phone cases are provided for photos.
The listing says there are two meeting-point options and that the boat is moored next to the Stama restaurant, near a black bridge. It also offers drop-off at eight locations, including Koskinou, Kritika, Faliraki, Kremasti, Ixia, Ammoudes and Ialysos. That makes it a good half-day excursion if you do not want a full day on the water, and a good test of whether you like Rhodes boat tours before you commit to a six-hour one.

Adventure Rib Vip Cruises Rhodes
My pick: The short one: $62 for 2.5 hours, up to 9 guests, 4.8 from 521 reviews, with four swim stops of about 20 minutes.
What you see on a Rhodes boat tour depends on whether you head east or north-east to Symi. The infographic shows the stops named in the Gabriels Watersports rental: Kallithea, Anthony Quinn Bay, Ladiko Bay and the Traganou Caves, all on the east coast south of Rhodes Town. The same bays appear, in a different order, on the catamaran, the Romantika cruise and the Adventure Rib trip, so one picture covers most of the east-coast boat tours in Rhodes.

Stops on the route
Leaving Mandraki Harbour you pass the sights the Sebeco listing names from the water: the castle walls, the medieval clock, the Marine Gate, the Naillac Tower, the windmills and Saint Nicholas Fortress. Anthony Quinn Bay is named after the actor who, according to the listings, bought the area after filming The Guns of Navarone there. On the Symi side you get the pastel neoclassical houses around the harbour, and the Rhodes Sea Lines and Nautiki listings both pick out Saint George’s Bay as a swim spot you can reach only by boat. Dolphins are mentioned in one Rhodes boat tour, the Adventure Rib listing, but they are wild, so I would not plan around them. For the island’s wider sights on land, see the Visit Greece guide to Rhodes.
Rhodes boat tours leave from three places, and the first is the easiest to find. Mandraki Harbour in Rhodes Town is the base for the Symi cruises, the Romantika day cruise and the Poseidon catamaran. On the Maps data, Romantika, Catamaran Cruises Rhodes and Rhodes Sea Lines sit within about 100 metres of each other, and Saint Nicholas Fortress at the harbour mouth is about 0.4 km from Romantika in a straight line. The Sebeco speedboat and the Skevos fishing boat use Kolona Harbour outside the old town, while the Dream Boats and B Boat rentals start from the New Marina. Gabriels Watersports operates from Zephyros Beach on the east coast.
The Traganou Caves, which appear on three of the east-coast itineraries, are about 15.6 km south of Mandraki in a straight line, which is why the cruises along the coast take hours. Several Symi listings say the meeting point varies by option, so check your voucher.

My data splits the 12 Rhodes boat tours into a few types, and three have their own page. Prices are the lowest listed for that type and durations come from the listings. Some trips count in more than one type.
| Trip type | Price from | Typical duration | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Island hopping to Symi | $34 | 6 to 9 hours | A harbour town, three hours ashore and a swim |
| Snorkeling tour | $62 | 2.5 to 6 hours | Anthony Quinn Bay and the sea caves |
| Boat rental | $202 | 2 to 7.5 hours | Couples and groups who want to steer |
| Catamaran day cruise | $67 | 6 hours | Lunch, drinks and a small group |
| Fishing trip | $70 | 5 hours | Anglers and curious first-timers |
Here is how I’d pick among the boat tours in Rhodes in four questions.
All 12 listings offer a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead, so book early and move the date if the forecast turns. Whichever boat tour in Rhodes you choose, confirm the meeting point in your voucher, and ask about the season if you are travelling at the end of October, because no listing states when it stops running. For a quick look at the weather before you sail, the Hellenic National Meteorological Service publishes forecasts for the Aegean.

For a first boat tour in Rhodes I'd book the Symi cruise from Rhodes Sea Lines at $62, rated 4.7 from 4,165 reviews, because it gives you about three hours on the island plus a swim at Saint George's Bay. If you would rather stay on the east coast, the Poseidon Submarine catamaran at $67 has 4.8 from 2,560 reviews and includes lunch and drinks.
The 12 boat tours in Rhodes I compared run from $34 to $247 in US dollars. Symi day cruises cost $34 to $62, the east-coast snorkeling and catamaran trips $62 to $81, the fishing trip $70, and the three licence-free boat rentals $202 to $247. Rental fuel is extra, so read each listing's price notes.
Most Rhodes boat tours leave from Mandraki Harbour in Rhodes Town: the Symi cruises, the Romantika day cruise and the catamaran meet there. The Sebeco speedboat and the fishing trip use Kolona Harbour outside the old town, the two boat rentals from the New Marina, and Gabriels Watersports starts at Zephyros Beach. Check the meeting point on your voucher.
I think so if you want a harbour town and a swim in one day from the boat tours in Rhodes. Five of the 12 boat tours in Rhodes go to Symi, giving about three hours ashore at $34 to $62. The Sebeco boat is the cheapest well-reviewed option, but one reviewer found it crowded and choppy. Ratings run from 4.0 to 4.7.
Three listings say yes: Dream Boats at $247, Gabriels Watersports at $202 and B Boat at $242, all starting with a safety briefing. That is each operator's own claim, and I have not checked it against Greek rules, so ask which boat and which limits apply on your date. Fuel is paid on top by the first two.
All 12 boat tours in Rhodes offer a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before the start. That matters because sea conditions decide whether small boats go out, and one rental reviewer says the operator moved the date in poor weather. Ask the operator what happens if the boat cannot sail on the day.
No listing gives an end-of-season date, so ask before you book. The only calendar note comes from Rhodes Sea Lines, which moves the Symi swim stop to the outward leg in late September and October. Small-boat Rhodes boat tours depend on the weather, so I'd book a flexible date and check the listing's availability calendar.
