New York Boat Cruises – Circle Line: NYC New Year's Eve Fireworks Party Cruise (21+)

A party boat New York style is a scheduled night cruise with a DJ, a bar and the skyline for a dance floor. Right now I have two party boats in New York on GetYourGuide, and both are dated events: a Halloween yacht on 31 October and a New Year’s Eve fireworks cruise on 31 December. They are the two tickets in my boat tours in New York comparison that I would not pick for a quiet evening, and I’d say so plainly.

My pick, in one line: if you want a New York party boat this month, the Enjoy Cruises Halloween yacht is $36 and the only one on the calendar. For New Year’s Eve, the Circle Line fireworks cruise at $279 is the one, with an open bar and a midnight toast, and I’d read its non-refundable terms before paying. Prices are in US dollars from the listings, checked on 17 October 2026, and the booking links are affiliate links.

Party Boat New York City

The two New York party boats are very different tickets, so I put them side by side in a table before going into detail.

Cruise Operator Date Price Duration Rating Cancellation
Halloween party cruise Enjoy Cruises 31 October 2026 $36 4 hours 4.3 (10 reviews) Free up to 24 hours before
New Year’s Eve fireworks party cruise Circle Line Sightseeing 31 December $279 3 hours 4.1 (54 reviews) Non-refundable

The price gap reflects what the ticket includes. The Halloween listing sells a ticket onto the boat, with two staffed bars, VIP bottle service available and an a la carte food buffet. The New Year’s Eve listing bundles the open bar, the appetizers and the champagne into the price. Neither has a big review base, and ratings of 4.3 from 10 reviews and 4.1 from 54 reviews are thin, so I treat them as a guide to the format and not a verdict on the operator.

The New Year’s Eve cruise is the more polished of the two party boats in New York. The listing says the Hudson River fireworks go off at midnight, and the cruise keeps going for an hour afterwards before it returns to the port. The route passes the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, the Statue of Liberty, the High Line, Ellis Island, the Brooklyn Bridge, Lower Manhattan, the Manhattan Bridge, the Chrysler Building and the Williamsburg Bridge. You arrive one hour ahead, and tips and hotel pickup are not included.

New York Party Cruise

The Halloween ticket is the cheaper New York party cruise and the cheapest party boat in New York I found, and it is the one that is still bookable this month. The Enjoy Cruises listing describes a Blood Moon Halloween party on the Jewel Yacht from Skyport Marina. Boarding is at 7:00 PM, departure is at 7:30 PM and the boat returns at 11:00 PM, which makes it 4 hours of the 4.3-rated trip. Look for the orange and black Jewel Yacht flag post to find the staff.

The ticket includes views of the skyline, two staffed bars, an a la carte food buffet, an open-air deck and a fully climate-controlled interior, music by live DJs and transport to and from the pier. VIP bottle service is available. People under 21 are not allowed. The itinerary runs along the East River past the Manhattan Bridge, Dumbo and the Brooklyn Bridge, then Lower Manhattan, One World Trade Center and the Financial District, up the Hudson River and out to the Statue of Liberty before returning to the marina.

The review snippets are cheerful about the DJ and the costumes. One reviewer says the boat was spacious, and the same reviewer notes that drinks cost up to about $16 or $17 and that the upper deck was windy. I’d take a warm layer under the costume, because an October night on the water is cold.

New York City Party Cruise

If your group is larger than a few friends, the question for a New York City party cruise is not the boat but the plan. Both tickets are per-person seats on a shared sailing, and neither lists a capacity, a minimum group size or a private option. The Halloween ticket lists VIP bottle service as an extra, which is the nearest thing to a group package in my data. I’d contact the operator through the booking page before you buy for eight or ten people.

There is one more constraint for groups on a New York party boat. The New Year’s Eve ticket is non-refundable, while the Halloween one lets you cancel up to 24 hours before the start. For a group where one person might drop out, the Halloween cruise carries less risk, and for the 31 December cruise I’d confirm everyone before booking the whole table. If some in your group want a calmer evening, the dinner cruise page for New York covers the meal cruises with live music and a quieter deck.

Yacht Party New York City

If you’re deciding between a party boat in New York and a calmer evening, ask how loud you want it. The listings for both party boats mention a live DJ, and neither mentions a quiet deck, although the Halloween ticket does list an open-air deck next to a climate-controlled interior. A New York party boat is a late night, so plan your way home: the Halloween cruise returns at 11:00 PM, and the New Year’s Eve cruise keeps sailing for an hour after midnight.

A yacht party in New York City usually means a private charter, and I have to be straight: the party boat tickets in New York in my data are on shared boats, even if the Halloween cruise runs on a yacht. The Jewel Yacht at Skyport Marina is the vessel in the Halloween listing, and the Classic Harbor Line yachts in my comparison are sightseeing and holiday boats with a bar, not party boats. The holiday jazz, cocoa and carols cruise at $134 is the closest to a party on those boats, with live music and a heated cabin. You can read about the yacht options on my yacht cruise page for New York.

New York City Booze Cruise

People who search for a booze cruise in New York City want drinks on a boat, and the party boat in New York is the usual answer. The honest answer from the data is that the New Year’s Eve cruise is the only ticket where drinks are in the price: the listing says an open bar with standard liquor, beer, wine and soft drinks, plus a champagne toast at midnight. The Halloween yacht sells drinks at two bars, and one reviewer says some cocktails cost about $16 or $17. The Classic Harbor Line yacht cruises include one drink and sell more on board.

Bring ID, since both party cruises are 21 and over. I don’t have the operators’ rules on outside alcohol or refusal of service in my data, so read the conditions on the booking page.

Party Boat Rental New York

If you are looking for a party boat rental in New York, the party boat tickets above are not rentals. They are seats on a scheduled sailing. For a private party boat, the Maps list for New York includes charter operators such as New York City Yacht Charters, Starship Tours and Events and Event Cruises NYC, but I have no prices, ratings or capacity for their boats, so I won’t guess at them. Ask each for a quote with the date and the number of guests.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a party boat in New York?

I found two party cruises on GetYourGuide. The Enjoy Cruises Halloween party yacht is $36 for 4 hours and the Circle Line New Year's Eve fireworks party cruise is $279 for 3 hours. The first sells drinks and food on board, while the second includes an open bar and appetizers in the ticket price.

When does the New York Halloween party boat sail?

It sails on Halloween, 31 October 2026. The listing gives boarding at 7:00 PM, departure at 7:30 PM and a return at 11:00 PM from Skyport Marina. The ticket is for guests aged 21 and over, and it has free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.

Is the New Year's Eve party cruise in New York refundable?

No. The Circle Line listing says the activity is non-refundable, which is different from the other tickets in my New York comparison. It sails on 31 December, lasts 3 hours, is for guests aged 21 and over, and asks you to arrive one hour before departure.

What is included on the New Year's Eve cruise?

The listing includes an open bar with standard liquor, beer, wine and soft drinks, a champagne toast at midnight, appetizers and light bites, cookies and mini pastries, a live DJ, party favors, high-speed Wi-Fi and local taxes and fees. Hotel pickup and tips are not included.

Can I rent a party boat in New York?

Not from the tickets I compared. Both are per-person tickets on a scheduled sailing, not a private rental. The Maps list for New York includes charter operators such as New York City Yacht Charters, but I have no prices, so check their own sites for a private party boat.

Are party boats in New York only for adults?

Both of the party cruises I compared are for guests aged 21 and over. The Halloween listing excludes people under 21 and the New Year's Eve listing describes the cruise as a party for participants who are 21 or older. For a family trip, a sightseeing cruise is the better choice.
