Boat Tours Mallorca – Midday or Sunset Sailing with Snacks and Open Bar

Sailing in Mallorca means a small yacht, a skipper and a stop in a bay for a swim, and three trips in my data do exactly that for $100 to $112. Two of them leave from Palma and one from Alcúdia in the north, and each is capped at about ten guests. The comparison below comes from the operators’ listings on GetYourGuide: prices, durations, meeting points, what is included and cancellation. For catamarans, kayaks and private boats see my guide to boat tours in Mallorca. I haven’t sailed with any of these crews, so my picks rest on the data and the review snippets. Prices are in US dollars, checked in October 2026, and the booking links are affiliate links, as I explain on my about page.

My pick: Isla Sailing at $100, because it has a 5.0 from 126 reviews, a skipper who lets the sails go up whenever the wind allows and a paddleboard on board. If you want the sunset, I’d book SeaBarcelona’s midday or sunset option instead.

Mallorca Boat Trip

A Mallorca boat trip under sail is quieter than a catamaran cruise, and sailing in Mallorca on a small yacht is the format I’d pick for couples and small groups of friends. The Isla Sailing listing says that whenever the wind allows, the skipper hoists the sails, and then you sail to an anchorage to swim, snorkel, stand-up paddle or unwind. The itinerary is the Bay of Palma, a secret stop, and back. It includes a professional skipper, cava, beer, white wine, soft drinks and tapas, snorkeling gear, a paddleboard, fuel, hotel pickup and parking costs. A private option is available. The listing asks wheelchair users and people prone to seasickness not to book.

Reviewers describe the skipper by name and as friendly, and one says he reassured nervous sailors and kept the glasses filled. For a group of up to ten, the price may be per guest or per boat, so I’d check the booking page before you count on sharing the cost. The Isla Sailing meeting point is next to the cruise terminal in Palma, which makes it easy to combine with a day in the city, and the SeaBarcelona marina entrance is on the same waterfront road. Both are a short taxi ride from the cathedral. The meeting point is the back entrance of Club de Mar next to the cruise terminal, near a Tablisa security office, and the operator sends instructions the day before.

Sailing Mallorca Itinerary

The Mallorca sailing itineraries in my data share one shape: a safety briefing, a sail, a swim stop, and a return. SeaBarcelona’s trip starts at Club de Mar with a five-minute safety briefing, then spends about 1.5 hours in the Bay of Palma with an aperitif, local snacks and the sail, before a secret stop for swimming and snorkeling. You can choose a morning, midday or sunset departure. The yacht takes a maximum of 10 guests, and the crew share live local stories as they sail.

The price is $107 for four hours, rated 4.7 from 963 reviews. The open bar offers cava, white wine, beer and soft drinks, with fingerfood including vegan and vegetarian options. The meeting point is the marina entrance opposite Mercanautic at Avinguda de Gabriel Roca 38. Languages on board are English, Spanish, French, Polish and Russian.

When you pick a departure for sailing in Mallorca, the light is the thing. For Palma I get these sunset times in local time on the 15th of each month: January 5:51 PM, February 6:26 PM, March 6:57 PM, April 8:28 PM, May 8:57 PM, June 9:20 PM, July 9:17 PM, August 8:47 PM, September 7:59 PM, October 7:12 PM, November 5:35 PM and December 5:27 PM. A sunset sail in June finishes around 10 PM, while one in December ends soon after 6 PM.

Sailing Mallorca to Ibiza

None of the three trips sails from Mallorca to Ibiza. Every one returns to its starting marina the same day, and the longest listed is the 3 to 7 hour Isla Sailing option. A crossing to Ibiza is a multi-day charter, and I don’t have prices, routes or crew details for one, so I’d rather say that than suggest a trip that doesn’t exist. If a charter between the islands is your plan, you would contact a charter company directly and check the weather first. The Spanish national forecast is on AEMET.

For a day on the water in Mallorca, the questions I’d ask are about the boat and the crew: how many guests, whether a paddleboard is on board and what happens if the wind drops. Isla Sailing says the sails go up whenever the wind allows, which is an honest way of saying that a calm day means motoring, so go sailing in Mallorca expecting some engine time.

Mallorca Sailing Charter

A sailing charter in Mallorca for your group alone is closest to the private option on the Isla Sailing page and to the yacht listings on my yacht charter page. If you only want the boat to yourself for a few hours, my private boat tour page compares five boats with a skipper. A full sailing charter with several days at sea is outside what I compare.

For Mallorca sailing in the north, Caribia Sailing runs a half-day trip from Marina Alcudiamar for up to 10 guests at $112, rated 4.9 from 548 reviews. The yacht is called Nereida, and the meeting point is dock 7, place 646. The itinerary includes about an hour and a half of sailing with views of the coast, then an hour at Platja del Coll Baix for swimming, snorkeling and tapas. The listing includes a captain and a deckhand, snorkeling gear, tapas, unlimited beer and soft drinks, hotel pickup and drop-off, and towels, swimwear and sunscreen. People over 125 kg are excluded.

What I’d Book

For sailing in Mallorca from Palma, I’d choose between Isla Sailing and SeaBarcelona on one question: do you want the longest time on the water, or the sunset and an open bar? Isla Sailing runs up to seven hours and has the better rating. SeaBarcelona has the sunset option and the larger number of reviews. In the north, Caribia is the only sailing trip I found, and its 4.9 rating is hard to ignore.

Whichever sailing trip in Mallorca you choose, confirm the marina entrance in your confirmation email, because both Palma departures use entrances that are easy to miss. If you would rather not sail, my catamaran page and snorkeling page compare the bigger boats. To see every boat trip, go back to boat tours in Mallorca, or start from the home page for other cities.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a sailing trip in Mallorca cost?

The three sailing trips in my data cost $100 for Isla Sailing (3 to 7 hours), $107 for SeaBarcelona (4 hours) and $112 for Caribia Sailing from Alcúdia (4 hours). All three include drinks and food or snacks, and two are capped at 10 guests. Isla Sailing also lists a private option.

Where do sailing trips in Mallorca leave from?

Isla Sailing meets at the back entrance of Club de Mar next to the cruise terminal in Palma, and SeaBarcelona at the marina entrance opposite Mercanautic on Avinguda de Gabriel Roca 38. Caribia Sailing meets at Marina Alcudiamar, dock 7, place 646, where the boat is called Nereida.

Is there a sailing trip from Mallorca to Ibiza?

Not in my data. All three trips return to their starting marina the same day. Sailing from Mallorca to Ibiza is a multi-day charter, and I don't have prices or itineraries for one, so ask a charter company directly if that is what you want.

What is the best time of year for sailing in Mallorca?

My data covers the listings, not the wind. Sunset in Palma runs from about 5:27 PM in December to 9:20 PM in June, and the trips run on the operators' own timetables. For sea conditions on your day, check the marine forecast from the Spanish weather agency AEMET.

Do I need sailing experience for a trip in Mallorca?

No. All three trips come with a skipper. Isla Sailing and SeaBarcelona advertise a professional skipper, and Caribia lists a captain and a deckhand. A reviewer of Isla Sailing says the skipper reassured some nervous sailors. The listing asks people prone to seasickness and wheelchair users not to book.
