London Boat Cruises – River Thames Party Boat Cruise

A party boat in London is a ticket for a few hours on the Thames with a bar, a DJ and a dance floor, and I found two to compare, from $39. Both are run by London Party Boats LTD and both leave from Festival Pier, so the choice is between an evening and a late morning. For every other kind of trip see my guide to boat tours in London. Prices are in US dollars, checked in October 2026, and the booking links are affiliate links, as I explain on my about page.

My pick is the River Thames Bottomless Brunch Party Cruise at $64 for the better rating, and the River Thames Party Boat Cruise at $39 if you want a late night out on a lower budget. I haven’t been on either, so I rely on the listings and the review snippets.

Party Boat London Hire

Party boat hire in London, in the sense of a whole boat for your group, is not what these two listings are. These party boats in London are shared cruises sold per person, so you join a party rather than hosting one. The price is for a ticket, and neither listing gives a private hire price, which means I can’t compare hire quotes. If you want a whole boat to yourself, the closest option I compared is the self-drive GoBoat on my boat rental page, which seats up to eight and is not a party boat with a DJ.

Trip Operator Price Duration On board Rating Cancellation
Bottomless brunch cruise London Party Boats LTD $64 3 hours Buffet brunch, 1.5 hours of prosecco, DJ 4.8 (5) Non-refundable
Party boat cruise London Party Boats LTD $39 4 hours Light buffet, DJ, dance floor, bars 3.9 (22) Non-refundable

The brunch cruise is an adult event: the listing excludes anyone under 18. It has a fully heated boat with panoramic viewing windows, a large outdoor deck for the city views and two fully stocked bars. A reviewer with a gluten allergy was impressed by how it was handled, and another spent most of the time on the top deck. With only 5 reviews I would not treat the 4.8 as settled.

London Party Cruise

The evening option is the longer party boat in London. The River Thames Party Boat Cruise is $39 for 4 hours, rated 3.9 from 22 reviews, and it leaves from Festival Pier on the Southbank. The listing includes a light buffet, a live DJ, a spacious dance floor, fully heated indoor decks, an outdoor viewing deck and fully stocked bars. You return to Festival Pier to get off.

The score is the lowest of any London cruise I compared, so I read the snippets: one group of ten had a great night and praised two bar staff for the cocktails, another said the atmosphere was brilliant. The listing asks for an ID card, and a copy is accepted, and unaccompanied minors are excluded. Drinks are not in the price apart from what the listing names, so budget for the bar.

Party Boat London Nye

New Year’s Eve is the date many people search for, and neither listing is specifically a NYE cruise. I can’t give a price, a menu or a time for 31 December. What I can say is that both cruises are non-refundable, so if you want to put one on your New Year’s plans, check the booking page for that date first and ask London Party Boats LTD what is included before you pay. For a seated meal on the night instead, my dinner cruise page lists the cruises that refund up to 3 days ahead.

What Is a Booze Cruise

A booze cruise, in the way people use it in the UK, is a boat trip where drinking is the main activity. The two listings here fit the idea in different ways: one has bottomless prosecco for 1.5 hours, the other has fully stocked bars and a DJ. Neither is a quiet sightseeing trip, though both pass the London skyline from the Thames. If you want the river sights with fewer drinks, my river cruise page lists the quick Thames loops from $18.

Party Boat London Canal

No party boat on a canal appeared in my data. The canal trips I compared are slow rides: the Camden Lock boat is a 90-minute guided trip, and The Music Boat adds a live performance on a 50-minute punt on Regent’s Canal, with BYOB listed. That is closer to a small party than a club night, and my canal cruise page compares both. A bigger group will find the Thames boats better, because the listings describe dance floors and indoor decks.

Boat Party London 2026

For a boat party in London in 2026, the listings do not publish a calendar on the page I used, so I can’t say which dates have a sailing. Choose your date on the booking page and check what the boarding time is for it. The operator’s pier is easy to reach, as the brunch listing puts Festival Pier about 10 minutes on foot from Waterloo Station, and it is directly outside the Southbank Centre.

What to Know Before You Book a Party Boat

Check three things before you pay for a party boat in London. The first is the refund rule: both listings say the activity is non-refundable, so a cancelled group trip means a lost ticket. If your group is large, agree the date first, then buy together. The second is ID and age: the evening cruise asks for an ID card (a copy is accepted), the brunch cruise bars anyone under 18, and unaccompanied minors are excluded from the evening one.

The third is what is actually included. On the evening boat the price covers four hours, a light buffet, the DJ and the dance floor, while the bars are fully stocked but drinks are not listed as included. On the brunch boat the prosecco is bottomless for 1.5 hours of the three, not the whole cruise. That detail changes how you plan the afternoon, so decide when you want to be on the water at your best.

Getting there is simple. Festival Pier is on the South Bank, directly outside the Southbank Centre according to the brunch listing, and about 10 minutes on foot from Waterloo Station. Both boats return to the same pier, so you can plan the journey home before you leave. The pier is also within sight of the river’s main landmarks, though the party is the main event rather than the views.

Last, think about the group. A London party boat suits friends, birthdays and colleagues, and the review snippets mention groups of ten and a birthday group. For a quieter celebration with a seated meal, the dinner cruise page is the better fit, and for small groups who want privacy the boat rental page has the GoBoat option.

How I’d Choose a Party Boat

For a late morning with a group of friends, the party boat in London I’d book is the $64 brunch cruise, mindful that its high score rests on few reviews. For a long evening on a budget I’d take the $39 party boat, aware that the score is 3.9. Both have no refund, so agree the date with your group first. For a different London boat trip, such as a seated meal, see the dinner cruise page, or return to every London boat trip I compared on the hub page. Other cities are on the homepage.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a party boat in London?

The two party boat cruises I compared cost $39 and $64 per person in US dollars. The 4-hour evening cruise with a live DJ and a light buffet is $39, and the 3-hour bottomless brunch cruise with 1.5 hours of prosecco is $64. Both are sold per ticket on shared boats, not as a private hire.

Where do London party boats leave from?

Both leave from Festival Pier on the South Bank. The brunch listing says it is directly outside the Southbank Centre and about a 10-minute walk from Waterloo Station, and asks you to go to the bottom of the pier for the embarkation time on your ticket. Arrive early, because the boarding window is on the ticket.

Can I get a refund on a London party boat?

No. Both London Party Boats LTD listings say the activity is non-refundable, unlike most other London cruises I compared, which refund in full up to 24 hours or 3 days ahead. Book a party boat only when the date and the headcount are firm, and ask the operator what happens if the cruise cannot sail.

Is there an age limit on a London party boat?

Yes. The bottomless brunch cruise excludes children under 18, and the evening party cruise excludes unaccompanied minors and asks you to bring ID, with a copy accepted. Bars on both boats are fully stocked, so treat both as adult events and check the listing before booking with a mixed-age group.

Is the bottomless brunch cruise in London worth it?

It is highly rated at 4.8, but only from 5 reviews, so the score is early. For $64 you get 3 hours, a buffet brunch, 1.5 hours of bottomless prosecco, a live DJ and a heated boat with panoramic windows. A reviewer with a gluten allergy said it was catered for well.
