Singapore River Cruise, Garden Rhapsody & Spectra by CYT
4.8 (1,841) · from $23

Boat tours in Singapore come in three shapes: a short ride up the Singapore River, a night out that bundles the river with two free light shows, and a handful of private yachts and fishing trips from Sentosa. I compared the 12 Singapore boat tours you can book on GetYourGuide right now, from a $20 river cruise to a $934 fishing charter. Everything below comes from the operators’ own listings: prices, ratings, durations, meeting points and what is included. I haven’t been on any of these boats, so my picks rest on that data and on the review snippets, not on a personal sailing.
My short answer for a first boat tour in Singapore: I’d book the GlobalTix Singapore River Cruise at $20, rated 4.5 from 2,675 reviews, if the boat is all you want. If you have an evening free, I’d take the Chope Your Tour river cruise with Garden Rhapsody and Spectra at $23, rated 4.8 from 1,841 reviews. Prices are in US dollars, checked in October 2026, and the booking links are affiliate links, as I explain on my about page.
The classic boat tour in Singapore is the river cruise, and the GlobalTix ticket is the plainest version. It is the simplest of the boat tours in Singapore, a roughly 40-minute ride on a traditional bumboat from Clarke Quay Jetty, next to the Hooters restaurant. The listing names Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, Marina Bay, Merlion Park, Marina Bay Sands and the Esplanade as the sights, with commentary on how the river grew from a trading port into a waterfront district. You can sail by day for clear views or at night for the lit skyline.
At $20 it is the cheapest of the Singapore boat tours I found, and it carries the largest review count on the list. Two things to know before you pay on this Singapore boat tour. The listing is non-refundable, which is rare here, and one reviewer could not hear the narration while another liked the audio guide. For a river cruise page with every option side by side, see my River Cruise Singapore guide.

GlobalTix Pte Ltd
My pick: The cheapest way onto the water: $20, 40 minutes, 4.5 from 2,675 reviews. Non-refundable, so be sure of your date.
When people ask for a Singapore boat trip with more to it than a short ride, the most complete evening on my list is the Wanderlust Ventures starry night cruise at $77, rated 4.5 from 1,744 reviews. It runs roughly 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and takes you through 15 named stops on the listing. You photograph the Singapore Flyer and Merlion Park, taste street food at Lau Pa Sat, see the Garden Rhapsody show, ride the river past Clarke Quay and Boat Quay, then watch Spectra from the boat.
That is the longest of the Singapore boat tours with a guide, an evening with hotel pickup and drop-off, drinks and a licensed guide, offered in English, Arabic, Chinese, German and Hindi. It costs more than three times the $23 night tours, so I’d book it when you want the food stop and the pickup, not only the lights. The listing says it is free to cancel up to 24 hours ahead.
Night tourWanderlust Ventures Pte. Ltd.
My pick: The full evening: street food, Garden Rhapsody, a river cruise and Spectra from the boat, with hotel pickup. $77, 4.5 from 1,744 reviews.
Among Singapore boat cruises, the Wanderlust Ventures night river cruise is the one I’d call the best balance of price and rating: $23, rated 4.7 from 870 reviews, 3 to 4 hours. The itinerary lists a 15-minute photo stop at Merlion Park, 25 minutes at Gardens by the Bay, a pass by Suntec City and the F1 Pit Building, 20 minutes at the Spectra show, then a 35-minute boat ride on the Singapore River. A visit to Telok Ayer Market at the end is optional.
It includes a coach, a licensed guide and the river cruise ticket, but no drinks. The meeting point depends on the option you choose, so read your voucher. Same operator, same shows as the starry night trip above, minus the hotel pickup and the street food, which is where the $54 difference comes from.
Night tourWanderlust Ventures Pte. Ltd.
My pick: My pick for most visitors: $23, 4.7 from 870 reviews, river cruise plus both light shows with a guide. No drinks included.
If you search for a boat tour in Singapore harbour, or for Singapore harbour boat tours in general, and expect a sightseeing ship, the closest match on my list is the amphibious duck boat. DUCKtours drives a refurbished World War II vehicle from Suntec City, splashes into Marina Bay and returns by road, so you get the water and the Civic District in one hour for $38. It is rated 4.5 from 557 reviews, and it runs hourly from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The meeting point is 3 Temasek Boulevard, Suntec City Mall Tower 2, and the nearest station is Promenade, Exit C. The listing passes the Singapore Flyer, Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, the ArtScience Museum and the Merlion, which stands about 1.2 km from the DUCKtours pin. One reviewer wished it were longer, and another recommended doing it at the start of a stay. I’d pick it for families who want a daytime outing with a guide, and for anyone who finds Singapore boat tours on the river too tame.

Singapore DUCKtours Pte Ltd
My pick: A one-hour amphibious ride from Suntec City for $38, with hotel pickup and a live guide. Daytime only.
I should be straight about this section: neither product here is a standard yacht tour. Both are private boats from One Degree 15 Marina at Sentosa. The more fitting is the private sunset dinner cruise on a 34-foot yacht at $637 for the trip, four hours, with a three-course meal, a bottle of white wine and a sail to the Southern Islands before a cruise to Marina Bay Sands. It has one review, a 5.0, so there is almost nothing behind the score.
The second is the Catch and Cook yacht fishing charter at $934, also four hours and private, with a chef who cleans and cooks your catch and BBQ food that you must pre-order three days ahead. It has no reviews yet. Both are Wanderlust Adventures products and both suit groups who want a boat to themselves, not a bargain. For the dinner side, see my Dinner Cruise Singapore page.

Wanderlust Adventures Pte Ltd
My pick: A private sunset dinner yacht for $637 per trip. One review, so treat it as a charter you should ask questions about.

Wanderlust Adventures Pte Ltd
My pick: A private four-hour fishing yacht with a chef for $934. No reviews yet; think of it as a group occasion.
A Singapore boat tour at night is where the city looks its best, and the Chope Your Tour river cruise is the one I’d choose for it: $23, four hours, 4.8 from 1,841 reviews, the highest review count of the night tours. You meet at 5:30 PM at Starbucks One Fullerton, then the tour covers Merlion Park (30 minutes), Clarke Quay, a 30-minute boat ride, Gardens by the Bay and Supertree Grove, Marina Bay and the Spectra show.
Reviewers talk about the guides by name and say they were never rushed. The listing includes a bottle of water and a coach transfer, plus drop-offs to 243 locations. Personal and food expenses are extra. If you want dinner on the boat itself, I’d move to my Dinner Cruise Singapore guide, and the river-only options sit on my river cruise page.
Night tourChope Your Tour Pte Ltd
My pick: The best-reviewed night tour: $23, 4.8 from 1,841 reviews, river cruise plus both shows. Meeting at 5:30 PM.
Prices for a Singapore boat ride, and for Singapore boat tours in general, run from $20 to $934 in my data, but the shared options sit in a narrow band. A plain river ride is $20, the night tours with shows are $23 to $27, the duck boat is $38, the starry night tour is $77 and the dinner cruise $78. Private yachts and fishing charters are priced per trip, from $116 to $934. Always check whether the figure on the booking page is per person or per boat.
The TRIVISTA TOURS river cruise at $27, rated 4.8 from 408 reviews, is the one I’d use to show what $27 buys: four hours, a free upgrade to a 40-minute daylight river cruise, a photo stop at Merlion Park and both light shows seen from land. Its meeting point is Merlion Park, and it has an optional private version. Hotel pickup applies only when you choose that option, and the listing leaves out meals and tips.
Night tourTRIVISTA TOURS PTE. LTD.
My pick: Four hours for $27 with a free daylight river cruise upgrade and both shows. 4.8 from 408 reviews.
Boat trips to Singapore islands mean the Southern Islands, and on my list that means fishing. The Wanderlust Adventures join-in yacht fishing trip costs $116 for four hours, leaves from One Degree 15 Marina at Sentosa and is a small group, so you share the boat. Rods, bait, instructors, a captain and crew and bottled water are included, and the guides come from a fishing academy that teaches beginners.
Its rating of 4.9 comes from six reviews, which is thin. One reviewer was a beginner who liked the guides and ate the catch at a local restaurant, which is the only detail I can pass on. The Island Cruise and Ferry Services pier is on my map as a public ferry operator to St John’s, Lazarus, Kusu and Sisters’ Island, but none of those ferry tickets is a tour I compare. For fishing, see my Fishing Charter Singapore page.

Wanderlust Adventures Pte Ltd
My pick: The only trip to the Southern Islands on my list: $116, four hours, small group, beginner-friendly. Only six reviews so far.
People who search for a Singapore boat tour on Reddit usually want an unfiltered view of what is worth the money. I haven’t read any forum threads, so I can only give you what the listings and their reviews say. The most differentiated trip here, and the one with the weakest rating, is the 4-hour kayak fishing tour at $116, rated 3.9 from 8 reviews.
You sit on a Hobie fishing kayak with pedals, a guide, a rod, bait, a life jacket, a VHF radio and a photo package, in a small group. Reviewers who liked it caught several kinds of fish and praised the staff. The meeting point is not published: you email the operator to confirm the launch point. The rating is low for such a small sample, so I’d read all eight reviews before booking.

kayak fishing fever pte ltd
My pick: A kayak fishing outing for confident paddlers: $116, 4 hours, guide and gear included. 3.9 from 8 reviews, so read them first.
A Singapore boat ride that includes dinner is the Monster Day Tours cruise at $78 for about 1.5 hours. You meet the guide at WaterB River Cruise at Fort Canning, 15 minutes before departure, and the boat passes Boat Quay, Merlion Park, Marina Bay, Esplanade Park, Robertson Quay and Clarke Quay. The listing says a three-course bento dinner is served on board, and it lists sunset at Marina Bay as part of the route.
It has only three reviews, rated 4.2 overall: one liked the guide and the food, another had trouble with a booking. Children get complimentary admission, but not dinner. It is the only shared dinner cruise on a river boat that I found, so I’d treat it as a promising date-night option with little evidence behind it.
Night tourMonster Day Tours
My pick: Dinner on the river for $78, 1.5 hours, with a guide. Only three reviews, so check the exact departure time.
If by cruise package you mean an evening that bundles a meal and entertainment, the Christmas dinner cruise on the Royal Albatross is the one. It costs $229 per person for 2.5 hours, with a four-course Christmas menu (a seven-course upgrade is offered), free-flow soft drinks, decorations, goodies and live entertainment, sailing along the Sentosa coastline. You find the tall ship opposite the Singapore Oceanarium.
This is a December event, so it is only on sale around Christmas. The listing gives no calendar dates or start times, only a date picker, and it has no reviews yet. Children under 2 are not suitable. The operator, Tall Ship Adventures, also runs a regular sunset dinner cruise on the same ship, which you can read about on my Dinner Cruise Singapore page.
Night tourTall Ship Adventures
My pick: A festive dinner on a tall ship for $229 per person. A December event with no reviews yet, so check the dates.
What you see on a Singapore boat tour is mostly the same skyline from different angles. The river cruises follow the water from Clarke Quay to Boat Quay, past the Merlion and into Marina Bay, with Marina Bay Sands and the Esplanade in view. The infographic below follows the stops on the Chope Your Tour night tour: Merlion Park, Clarke Quay, the river cruise, Gardens by the Bay, Supertree Grove, Marina Bay, Spectra and Telok Ayer Market.

Stops on the route
Distances are short. From my place data, Merlion Park is about 0.5 km from Boat Quay, 1.0 km from Clarke Quay and 1.2 km from Gardens by the Bay, so a boat tour in Singapore rarely needs more than a 40-minute ride to cover the river. The only trip that leaves the city centre is Sentosa fishing, where One Degree 15 Marina is about 2.6 km from the Singapore Oceanarium. For the sea state and forecast, the Meteorological Service Singapore publishes daily forecasts.
The departure points for boat tours in Singapore are spread across the south of the island. The plain river cruise boards at Clarke Quay Jetty, and the Monster Day Tours dinner cruise at Fort Canning. The amphibious duck leaves from Suntec City, the Chope Your Tour night tour from One Fullerton by Marina Bay, and the Royal Albatross sits by the Oceanarium. Fishing yachts and the private yacht go from One Degree 15 Marina at Sentosa. Bedok Jetty on the east coast is listed on Google Maps as a fishing pier, but none of the 12 tours uses it, as far as the listings say.

| Trip type | Price from | Typical duration | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| River cruise | $20 | 40 minutes to 4 hours | First-timers who want the skyline and the light shows |
| Dinner cruise | $78 | 1.5 to 4 hours | Couples and festive evenings |
| Fishing charter | $116 | 4 hours | Beginners and anglers who want a Sentosa departure |
| Amphibious duck tour | $38 | 1 hour | Families who want a daytime outing |
| Private yacht | $637 | 4 hours | Small groups who want the boat to themselves |
Here is how I’d pick from the boat tours in Singapore in four questions.
Ten of the 12 listings give a full refund up to 24 hours before the start, so book early and move the date if the forecast turns. For general visitor information, the official site is Visit Singapore. Whichever of these Singapore boat tours you choose, confirm the meeting point in your voucher, because several of these listings change it by option.

For a first evening I'd book the Singapore River Cruise by GlobalTix at $20, rated 4.5 from 2,675 reviews, if you only want the boat. If you want the light shows too, the Garden Rhapsody and Spectra night tour by Wanderlust Ventures costs $23 and has 4.7 from 870 reviews. Both give you the river skyline, and I compare them further down.
In my data a Singapore river cruise starts at $20 for the 40-minute GlobalTix bumboat ride. Night tours that add a boat ride, the Garden Rhapsody show and Spectra cost $23 to $27, the starry night version with street food is $77, and the river cruise with a bento dinner is $78. All prices are in US dollars per person.
I think so for a first visit, because the river runs past Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, the Merlion and Marina Bay Sands in a short ride. The reviews back that up: 4.5 from 2,675 for the plain 40-minute cruise and 4.8 from 1,841 for the night tour. One reviewer could not hear the narration, so sit near the front.
My pick for the best value is the Chope Your Tour river cruise with Garden Rhapsody and Spectra at $23, rated 4.8 from 1,841 reviews. It adds a coach, a guide and a bottle of water to the boat ride. For the cheapest plain ride, take the $20 GlobalTix cruise. For dinner on board, the $78 Monster Day Tours option fits.
Most of them, yes. Ten of the 12 boat tours in Singapore give a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead. The two exceptions are the $20 GlobalTix river cruise, which is listed as non-refundable, and the kayak fishing tour, whose listing contradicts itself on refunds, so read it before you pay.
It depends on the trip. The plain river cruise boards at Clarke Quay Jetty, the duck boat at Suntec City, the dinner cruise at Fort Canning, and the Royal Albatross tall ship opposite the Singapore Oceanarium. Fishing yachts leave from One Degree 15 Marina at Sentosa. The night tours start with a hotel pickup or a meeting point in the city.
A shared river cruise with a three-course bento dinner is $78 per person for about 1.5 hours. The Christmas dinner cruise on the Royal Albatross is $229 per person for 2.5 hours. The private sunset yacht with a three-course meal is $637 for the trip, so it only makes sense for a couple or a small group.
Timing hardly changes with the month, because the sun sets between 6:52 PM and 7:22 PM all year in Singapore. That keeps evening cruises and light-show tours on a steady schedule. What changes is the weather, so check the forecast from the Meteorological Service Singapore a day ahead and use the 24-hour free cancellation.
