Sail Away - Santorini Catamaran Sailing
Private Catamaran Cruise with Food & Drinks
5.0 (212) · from $943

A private boat tour Santorini visitors can book on GetYourGuide means a catamaran with a crew, a meal and an open bar, just for your group. I found three, listed at $129, $943 and $1,122, all for five hours. The listings do not say whether those prices are per person or per boat, and that is the first thing I’d check. My comparison of boat tours in Santorini covers the shared trips as well. Prices are in US dollars from the listings, checked in October 2026, and booking links are affiliate links. I haven’t been on board any of these catamarans.
My pick: the SantoriniYachtingClub private catamaran at $129, rated 4.9 from 181 reviews, as the best private value on the evidence I have. It starts at Ammoudi Bay below Oia, visits Thirassia and the hot springs, and includes a BBQ with an open bar. For a splurge with a crew and everything included, I’d look at Sail Away at $943, with 5.0 from 212 reviews.

A private yacht tour Santorini search usually ends at a catamaran, which is also the usual private boat tour Santorini listing, because that is what the platform lists. None of the three boats is called a yacht in the listing, although the company names include Yachting. Caldera Yachting’s all-inclusive private catamaran is the top of the range at $1,122, with 4.9 from 33 reviews. The listing says you can arrange a day or a sunset cruise, and the price includes hotel pickup and drop-off by air-conditioned van, a welcome drink, lunch or dinner with special diets on request, an open bar, snorkeling gear, towels, beach stops and tips.
With only 33 reviews, this private boat tour in Santorini has the least evidence of the three. The stops are Thera for pickup, Vlychada Marina, Red Beach, White Beach, the Palea Kameni hot springs, the volcano, Thirassia and the caldera itself, and the van ride is listed at 30 minutes. I’d treat it as a celebration option and read the latest reviews first.

CALDERA YACHTING
My pick: The all-inclusive splurge: van transfers, open bar, lunch or dinner and tips included, $1,122, 4.9 from 33 reviews.
A private boat trip Santorini style gives you control of the pace. Sail Away’s catamaran costs $943 and includes a captain and one crew member, a sailor and hostess. The meal is prepared on board: seafood, Greek butter beans with red sauce, dolmades and salad, followed by seasonal fruit or dessert and snacks. Vegetarian meals are available on request. Wine from local wineries, beer and soft drinks come with it. Fuel, taxes, port fees and insurance coverage for guests are listed as included.
On this private boat trip in Santorini the route begins at Vlychada Marina and passes Red Beach, White Beach, the Akrotiri lighthouse, Aspronisi, Palea Kameni and the Nea Kameni hot springs, with the beach stops listed as five-minute photo stops. If swimming at the beaches matters to you, ask the captain to adapt the stops. Wikipedia describes Nea Kameni as the youngest island of the caldera, formed from 1707, on its Santorini article. Sail Away has 5.0 from 212 reviews, the most evidence of the three.

Sail Away - Santorini Catamaran Sailing
My pick: Crewed private catamaran with a seafood meal and local wine, $943, a perfect 5.0 from 212 reviews.
A private boat tour Santorini operators sell varies most in where it begins. SantoriniYachtingClub starts from Ammoudi Bay, which is the small harbor below Oia. In a straight line it is about 15 km from Vlychada Marina on my place data, where Sail Away starts. That changes what you see first. From Ammoudi you head for Thirassia, described in the listing as a fishermen’s island with a view of Manolas village, then the hot springs and the white cliffs at Aspronissi. White Beach, Mesa Pigadia and Red Beach are sailed past upon arrangement with the captain, and the boat returns to Ammoudi Bay.
The SantoriniYachtingClub meal is a welcome drink, traditional Greek appetizers, a BBQ with pork chops, chicken fillet, kebab or a vegetarian menu (vegan on request), an open bar with local wine, beer, ouzo and soft drinks, a fruit platter and a traditional dessert. Tips are not included. The hot spring and caves are described as ‘hidden caves and coasts only accessible by boat’, which is how the listing puts it.
Private boat hire Santorini searches can mean two things, and neither is a bus-style private boat tour Santorini sells to strangers: a crewed private charter, as above, or a boat you drive yourself. For self-drive, the only listings in my data are two small boats without a licence, at $337 and $281, covered on my page on boat rental in Santorini. They are much smaller than a catamaran, with a 30 hp engine on the one whose specification is given, so they are not a substitute for the caldera trips here.
Hiring a crew for a private boat tour Santorini style has a clear benefit: you don’t navigate. The Sail Away listing lists a captain and crew, and the other two describe a guide who prepares your meal. That also means you can ask for the route you want. I’d write to the operator before booking and ask where you can swim, how long the stops are and whether the price covers the entire group.
A private yacht Santorini booking and a private boat charter Santorini booking are the same thing in my data, and both are a private boat tour Santorini hosts run as a catamaran charter: a catamaran charter with a crew. The shared catamarans are cheaper, from $67, and they are compared on my catamaran tour page. The private ones suit a group that wants its own music, its own timing and no strangers.
If you want a sunset, the Caldera Yachting listing says it can be arranged. I calculated sunset from the island’s coordinates at about 17:04 in December, 20:16 in May, 20:37 in June and 18:43 in October, mid-month. Ask the operator for the departure time that brings you back to the caldera for the sunset, and see my sunset cruise page for the table of all months. If snorkeling is your priority, see the snorkeling page and my guide to sailing in Santorini for the sailboat choices.

Here is the short version.
All three private boat tours in Santorini offer free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead. For other ways onto the water, go back to my comparison of boat tours in Santorini, or start from the home page. Everything on this private boat tour Santorini page is from the listings, so recheck the details before you pay.
I found three private catamaran tours on GetYourGuide, listed at $129 (SantoriniYachtingClub), $943 (Sail Away) and $1,122 (Caldera Yachting). All last five hours and offer free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead. The listings don't say whether the price is per person or per boat, so check the booking page before you pay.
All three include food, drinks and snorkeling gear. Sail Away lists a captain, a crew member, fuel, taxes, port fees and insurance. Caldera Yachting adds a welcome drink, an open bar and towels, and SantoriniYachtingClub adds a welcome drink, an open bar with local wine and a stand-up paddleboard.
SantoriniYachtingClub starts at Ammoudi Bay below Oia. Sail Away starts at Vlychada Marina, and Caldera Yachting lists Thera as the pickup and then Vlychada Marina. Sail Away and Caldera Yachting both include hotel pickup and drop-off by van, and SantoriniYachtingClub from your hotel or the closest meeting point.
The Caldera Yachting listing says you can arrange a day or sunset cruise, and SantoriniYachtingClub's route is planned with the captain. Sail Away's listing doesn't give a start time. Sunset falls around 20:37 in June and 18:43 in October by my calculation, so ask the operator for the slot.
Yes. All three private catamaran listings offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start for a full refund. For a private charter I'd also ask the operator what happens if the wind makes the planned route unsafe, as none of the listings describes a weather policy.
