Privacy policy

Harbour Advisor (harbouradvisor.com) is a static website that compares boat tours. This page explains what data is processed when you visit it, why, and what you can ask for. Questions: hello@harbouradvisor.com.

The short version

• This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts.
• There are no accounts, logins or newsletters.
• If you use the contact form, the details you type are sent to me so I can reply.
• If you click a booking link you leave this site for GetYourGuide, whose own privacy policy then applies.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the page and protect the site against abuse. I don't use that data to identify you. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics

If visit statistics are switched on, they come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies, without fingerprinting and without storing your IP address. The numbers are only ever looked at in aggregate.

Contact form and e-mail

The contact form is provided by Tally(Tally BV, Belgium). It collects your name, your e-mail address, your message, the topic you pick and the page you came from. Tally stores the submission and forwards it to me by e-mail. Messages sent directly to hello@harbouradvisor.com are received through Cloudflare Email Routing and delivered to my inbox.

I use these details only to answer you, and I keep them for as long as the conversation needs plus up to 12 months, then delete them. The legal basis is your consent (the checkbox on the form) and my legitimate interest in replying to messages. I never sell them or share them with tour operators or anyone else.

Booking links (GetYourGuide)

Booking buttons link to GetYourGuide with a partner ID, so GetYourGuide can tell the visit came from this site. Nothing about you is passed to GetYourGuide from here: the link only carries that ID and a label for the page and section you clicked. Once you are on their site, GetYourGuide may set cookies and process your booking data underits own privacy policy. I receive commission reports without your name or contact details. Fonts, images and maps

Fonts and images are served from this domain, so loading a page doesn't contact Google Fonts or any other third party. Links to Google Maps open Google's site in a new tab and are governed by Google's privacy policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU and UK GDPR or the California CCPA), you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data I hold about you, object to its use or withdraw your consent. Write to hello@harbouradvisor.com and I'll answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children under 16 and I don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If the way this site handles data changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top changed.
