Dancer Cruise Cancun
Full-Day Isla Mujeres Dancer Cruise with Live DJ
4.8 (170) · from $119

Boat tours in Isla Mujeres come in four shapes: a catamaran day with an open bar, a snorkeling trip over the reefs, a speedboat run out to Isla Contoy, and a short clear-bottom boat ride. I compared 12 Isla Mujeres boat tours on GetYourGuide, from $31 to $199, and almost every one starts somewhere else, so I say where each one leaves from. Prices are in US dollars, checked in October 2026, and the booking links are affiliate links, as I explain on my about page.
My short answer: for one boat tour to Isla Mujeres I’d book the Dancer Cruise ($119, 7 hours, 4.8 from 170 reviews), and for snorkeling I’d take the Isla Sea Tours trip ($59, 3.5 to 4.5 hours). If you’re staying in Cancun and want the rest of the coast, my guide to boat tours in Cancun covers the sailings that stay on the mainland side.
Isla Mujeres boat trips from the mainland are mostly full days, and the three Isla Mujeres boat tours below are the ones I’d look at first. The Dancer Cruise is a 3-story catamaran with a bar, dance floor, water slide and diving board. It leaves at 9:30 am sharp and returns around 5:00 pm. The itinerary gives breakfast, 35 minutes of snorkeling, 30 minutes of swimming, lunch, 2 hours of free time on Isla Mujeres and a one-hour cruise back. It costs $119, is rated 4.8 from 170 reviews and includes a premium open bar, breakfast, a lunch of fajitas and ceviche, and snorkeling gear. The listing names the Embarcadero Isla Mujeres by Xcaret as its pick-up point and excludes wheelchair users.
The 3-in-1 Speedboat from Ka’ango Tours is $151 for 8 hours and starts from a module beside a restaurant in Costa Mujeres. It visits Isla Contoy, Isla Mujeres and the Cancun coast, and the $35 national park and marina fee is paid on the spot. It has a 5.0 rating, but from only 6 reviews. The third boat trip, from Aquaworld Cancun, is a family-friendly beach day at $95 for 8 hours. You must be at the Aquaworld marina, km 15.3 of the Cancun hotel zone, at 9 am for a 9:30 departure, and the price already includes the $22 docking fee, snorkeling gear, a buffet lunch and hotel transfers. It has one review, so I’d treat that 5.0 as a placeholder.

Dancer Cruise Cancun
My pick: My full-day pick: $119, 7 hours, premium open bar, breakfast, lunch and snorkeling, 4.8 from 170 reviews.

Ka´ango Tours
My pick: A quicker boat tour to Contoy and the island: $151, 8 hours by speedboat from Costa Mujeres, 5.0 but from only 6 reviews.

Aquaworld Cancún
My pick: A simple family beach day for $95 with the docking fee and lunch included, but only one review so far.
Boat tours in Isla Mujeres that add a second island are the long ones. The Exciting Travel Holidays speedboat trip is $199 for 9 hours, rated 4.6 from 116 reviews, and it’s the most expensive in my list. The timetable is unusually exact: arrival at the Flamingos pier at 9:00, the boat at 9:30, Isla Contoy at 10:30, lunch at noon, departure to Isla Mujeres at 14:00 and the pier again at 16:30. It includes hotel pickup in an air-conditioned van, a guide, a lifejacket and a lunch of grilled chicken or Tikin-xic style fish. The $20 for the federal marina and national park fees is paid on the spot, and the listing says vegetarian options are limited to beans, rice, fruit and salad.
At the other end of the scale, the Clear Boat Ride from Amigo Tours LATAM is the cheapest boat tour here at $31 for 45 minutes. It is a transparent boat along the island’s coast and includes transportation and the 100 MXN dock fee. You should be at the meeting point 30 minutes before departure for check-in, and it has 8 reviews at 4.3. I’d book it if you have a few hours on the island and no wish to commit a whole day.

Exciting Travel Holidays
My pick: The best-reviewed Contoy day: $199, 9 hours, 4.6 from 116 reviews, with hotel pickup and lunch.

Amigo Tours LATAM
My pick: The cheapest boat tour here: $31 for 45 minutes in a clear boat, 4.3 from 8 reviews.
An Isla Mujeres boat tour from Cancun is the format most people want, and the listings fill that wish in two ways. The Isla Sea Tours snorkeling trip, at $59 for 3.5 to 4.5 hours, is a short outing rather than a day. The description puts the meeting point at Sr. Frog’s restaurant in the middle of the island, followed by a three-minute walk to the boat, and the stops are El Farito reef, Manchones Reef and the Cancun Underwater Museum, about an hour at each. It includes snorkeling gear, the national marine park entrance fees, a bilingual guide and bottled water, and has 57 reviews at 4.5. The listing says the meeting point varies by option, so I’d check availability before planning your morning.
The longer way is the Amigo Tours LATAM catamaran from Puerto Morelos. It’s $35 for 8 to 10 hours, with a 20 USD port fee extra, rated 4.4 from only 5 reviews. The listing is filed under Puerto Morelos and lists resort pickup stops along the Riviera Cancun and Riviera Maya, while check-in is at Marina Las Perlas. The timings are about 30 minutes of catamaran, 30 minutes of snorkeling, 105 minutes at Playa Norte for lunch and a swim, and 2 hours free in town. My catamaran page for Isla Mujeres compares all three catamaran trips side by side.

Isla Sea Tours
My pick: My snorkeling pick: $59, up to three reef stops including the underwater museum, 4.5 from 57 reviews.

Amigo Tours LATAM
My pick: The long, cheap catamaran day from Puerto Morelos: $35 plus a 20 USD port fee, but only 5 reviews.
An Isla Mujeres booze cruise is simply one of the boat tours in Isla Mujeres with an open bar on a catamaran, and in my list the cheapest is the Amigo Tours LATAM trip from Costa Mujeres at $35. The listing is for 8 to 10 hours and says snorkeling, the open bar and the beach club are included, while a buffet lunch and hotel pickup are only in the upgraded and all-inclusive options. The port fee of 20 USD is extra, and you check in at Marina Las Perlas at least 15 minutes before departure. It is rated 4.1 from 9 reviews, the lowest score among the open-bar trips. One reviewer says the snorkeling was only about 20 minutes, which is close to the 30 minutes in the itinerary.
If you want a livelier boat tour in Isla Mujeres, I’d still pay more for the Dancer Cruise above, whose open bar is premium and whose boat has a dance floor, or for the 40 ft catamaran of Tulum Riviera Maya Tours at $89, which adds a spinnaker flight if the weather allows. Neither listing says adults only, so don’t count on a late-night party.

Amigo Tours LATAM
My pick: The budget open bar: $35, 8 to 10 hours, snorkeling and a beach club, 4.1 from 9 reviews.
A private boat tour in Isla Mujeres is not in my data. All 12 listings I compared are shared departures, and the clear boats are small-group trips rather than private charters. Several charter operators and marinas appear on Google Maps around Isla Mujeres, but I can’t give you a price or a rating for them. I’d contact the operator directly and ask for the length, the guest count and the fuel and port fees before you pay.
The same goes for an Isla Mujeres yacht tour: the closest thing in my list is a 40 ft catamaran, which is the Tulum Riviera Maya Tours trip at $89 for 7 hours. It gives you hotel transfers, an open bar on the boat and at the beach club, a buffet lunch and a snorkel at El Meco reef, but it sails with other guests. It’s rated 3.7 from 17 reviews, so the evidence is thin. If you want a whole yacht to yourself, see the private boat section above.
Dolphin tours from Isla Mujeres are not among the Isla Mujeres boat tours in my data. What the map shows is Dolphin Discovery Isla Mujeres, rated 4.4 from about 12,200 reviews on Google Maps and 6.0 km south of Playa Norte in a straight line. It’s an attraction you book separately. None of the 12 boat tours promises dolphins, so I wouldn’t book one expecting a sighting.
The Isla Mujeres ferry ride is the cheap way across, and a boat tour in Isla Mujeres is the nicer alternative. Ultramar and Marítima de Isla Mujeres both appear on Google Maps as ferry services, and Ultramar’s terminal has about 13,500 reviews at 4.5. The terminal is 0.8 km from Playa Norte. The ferry fare isn’t on the booking platform, so check it on the operator’s own site.
If you’re already on the island, the two clear boats start at Marina Bartolomé, 0.1 km from the Ultramar terminal, so you don’t need a transfer at all. ENVATOURS MX charges $38 for 45 minutes, rated 4.3 from 40 reviews. The route runs past Cadenita reef, El Farito reef and La Cabonera reef, with 30 minutes of marine-life viewing, and the guide takes photos. Highlife Mex charges $54 for the same length, with a safety briefing, a guided tour and a photo stop, rated 4.8 but from just 4 reviews. Neither suits people with mobility impairments.

ENVATOURS MX
My pick: The clear boat I'd pick for evidence: $38, 45 minutes, three reefs, 4.3 from 40 reviews.

Highlife Mex
My pick: A pricier clear boat at $54 with a 4.8 rating, but from only 4 reviews.
For a glass bottom boat tour in Isla Mujeres, the two clear boats in the section above are the real thing. The two cards below are not glass-bottom, but they are the trips that give you the most reef and island time for the money. The Tulum Riviera Maya Tours catamaran is $89 for 7 hours, with a snorkel at El Meco reef, where the description mentions underwater statues, a buffet lunch and time at North Beach or in the town. The $25 docking fee is paid at check-in, golf-cart rental isn’t included and the rating is 3.7 from 17 reviews.
The ParaViajantes day trip is the longest in the list, 10 hours for $180. It starts with a van ride and about 1.5 hours of Cancun sightseeing, then 80 minutes on Isla Mujeres and 2.5 hours at Isla Contoy National Park, where the listing promises reef snorkeling. It includes round-trip transportation, a buffet, an open bar and the 20 USD port tax, and has 6 reviews at 3.9. Both of these cards were the leftovers once the better matches were placed, so I’d pick them only for the itinerary.

Tulum Riviera Maya Tours
My pick: A 7-hour catamaran with snorkeling at El Meco reef for $89, but rated only 3.7 from 17 reviews.

ParaViajantes
My pick: A 10-hour Contoy and Isla Mujeres day for $180, with transport and an open bar, rated 3.9 from 6 reviews.
On Isla Mujeres boat tours the view is a low island ringed by turquoise water, with reefs close to the surface. The route on my infographic follows the pick-up stops of the Puerto Morelos catamaran, so it shows the hotels and beach clubs the bus visits before the boat leaves, rather than the sea route itself.

Stops on the route
For history and context on the island itself, the Wikipedia article on Isla Mujeres is a good start, and the Cancun Underwater Museum has its own site at musamexico.org.
Boat tours in Isla Mujeres leave from the island and from several mainland points. Playa Norte, where the catamarans stop for lunch, is 0.8 km from the Ultramar ferry terminal and 7.5 km from Punta Sur, the cliff at the island’s southern tip. The Embarcadero Isla Mujeres by Xcaret and Marina Las Perlas sit on the mainland coast, 13.5 km and 12.7 km from Playa Norte in a straight line. The Contoy Adventures office, rated 4.9 on Google Maps, is 6.0 km from Playa Norte, but none of my listings is from that operator. Cancun Sailing Catamarans is the one operator in the grid below that matches a stop in the data.

Two kinds of boat tour in Isla Mujeres have their own page, and two more are covered on this page. The table gives the starting price and usual length for each, built from my list.
| Type | Price from | Typical duration | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Catamaran tour | $35 | 7 to 10 hours | A day with an open bar, snorkeling and a beach club |
| Snorkeling tour | $59 | 3.5 hours to a full day | Swimmers who want reefs and the underwater museum |
| Clear boat ride | $31 | 45 minutes | A short look at the reefs without getting wet |
| Isla Contoy speedboat | $151 | 8 to 10 hours | Birdlife and a national park island |
Isla Mujeres boat tours look alike in the photos, so I use five questions to tell them apart.
Whichever boat tour in Isla Mujeres you pick, choose a free-cancellation option and check the pick-up point and the fees paid on the spot. For more detail on one kind of trip, read my pages on catamaran tours to Isla Mujeres and snorkeling in Isla Mujeres, compare the mainland sailings in my Cancun boat tours guide, or go back to my home page for other cities.

From my list of 12, the full-day Dancer Cruise is the best reviewed at $119 for 7 hours, rated 4.8 from 170 reviews. For snorkeling I'd take the Isla Sea Tours trip at $59 for 3.5 to 4.5 hours, and for a wild island I'd add Isla Contoy on the $199 speedboat day. A 45-minute clear boat ride costs $31 to $54.
Judging by the listings, yes if you pick the format that matches your day. Prices run from $31 for a 45-minute clear boat ride to $199 for a 9-hour Isla Contoy speedboat trip, and the full-day catamarans with an open bar start at $35. The best-evidenced one is the Dancer Cruise at 4.8 from 170 reviews.
Google Maps rates Punta Sur, at the southern tip, 4.8 from about 13,900 reviews, and Playa Norte 4.8, the beach most catamarans stop at. The Cancun Underwater Museum is reached on the Isla Sea Tours snorkeling trip. Parador Fotografico, the photo spot on the waterfront, is rated 4.6 from about 7,200 reviews.
Most leave from the mainland. The listings name Marina Las Perlas, the Aquaworld marina at km 15.3 of the Cancun hotel zone, the Embarcadero by Xcaret, a Costa Mujeres module and the Flamingos pier near Playa del Carmen. Only the clear boats and the Isla Sea Tours snorkeling trip start on the island itself.
All 12 listings I compared offer a full refund when you cancel at least 24 hours before the start, according to the booking-platform text. Weather can still stop a boat from sailing, so I'd read the policy on the page of the tour you pick before you pay. Port or dock fees paid on the spot are not covered by that rule.
Yes on six of them. The Dancer Cruise lists a premium open bar, the three catamarans from Amigo Tours LATAM and Tulum Riviera Maya Tours list national drinks, and ParaViajantes lists an open bar on board. The Amigo Tours trips start at $35. The 45-minute clear boats and the snorkeling-only tour do not include alcohol.
They are 10 km apart, and most of my tours cross between them, so you don't have to choose. The island is where the beach, the golf-cart streets and the reefs are, while the Cancun side is where many catamarans start. My separate guide to boat tours in Cancun covers the sailings that don't go to the island.
