Drive Mallorca
Private Yacht Charter with Skipper, up to 10 People
5.0 (1) · from $1,066

Yacht rental in Mallorca is the top end of my comparison, and the choice is short: two crewed private yachts that I can price from the listings, at $505 and $1,066. Both leave from Palma, both come with a skipper, and both are booked for your group alone. For cheaper ways onto the water, my guide to boat tours in Mallorca covers the shared cruises. Everything below comes from the operators’ listings on GetYourGuide, and I haven’t been on either boat, so my view rests on the data and the review snippets. Prices are in US dollars, checked in October 2026, and the booking links are affiliate links, as I explain on my about page.
My pick: the Vi Charter Q4 motor yacht at $505 if you want a celebration with drinks and snacks included, and the Drive Mallorca Fairline Targa 52 at $1,066 if you want the larger boat and the route past Palma Cathedral. Neither is cheap, and the second has only one review so far.
Yacht rentals in Mallorca are priced for the boat, not per person, which is why the numbers look large. The Vi Charter cruise lasts 2 to 5 hours and costs $505. The listing describes the Vi Q4 motor yacht as luxurious and built for birthdays, bachelor parties or a summer escape with friends, with music and prosecco. The price includes a private trip with a skipper, snorkeling equipment, a drone to capture memories, a SUP board, snacks, alcoholic drinks, gratuities and transport to and from Marina Port de Mallorca.
That list is long, and it is the reason I’d call this yacht rental in Mallorca the better value of the two. It has no rating yet, so I’d take the price as an opening offer and read the operator’s own pages and the recent reviews before booking. You wait on the promenade in front of the marina entrance, and Captain Criss comes out to walk you in. The listing gives the yacht’s name in the confirmation, so check it on the day.

Vi Charter
My pick: The party yacht with drinks, a drone and gratuities included: $505, 2 to 5 hours, no ratings yet.
A boat charter in Mallorca covers everything from a 5-metre rental to a motor yacht, and in this comparison I treat it as a crewed boat that you book for a block of hours. The larger Drive Mallorca listing is $1,066 for 3 to 8 hours. The Fairline Targa 52 is named Cienfuegos in the description, carries up to 10 people and starts at the Sailactive S.L. berth in Palma. Eight hours is the longest block in the listing.
The route in the listing starts with the Bay of Palma and a 10-minute photo stop at Palma Cathedral, then moves to the Mirador Illetas, where you swim, snorkel or stand-up paddle for about 1.5 hours. It continues to the Cova de Portals Vells, Magaluf Beach, the Port de Portals Nous and the island of Illa del Pas, and returns to the berth. The skipper can adjust it, and the stops marked optional are up to the group. The cost list excludes fuel, from 150 euros, payable directly, plus catering, the skipper’s gratuity and the transport to the harbour.

Drive Mallorca
My pick: The big boat: a 52-foot Fairline Targa for up to 10 at $1,066, 3 to 8 hours; one review so far and fuel from 150 euros extra.
Yacht charters in Mallorca are a bigger market than my comparison shows, and yacht rental in Mallorca ranges far beyond a day trip. Google Maps lists many charter companies around Palma, with ratings between 4.4 and 5.0, among them Heaven Mallorca Charter, Nostromo Charter and La Lonja Marina Charter. I don’t compare these yacht rentals in Mallorca, because I have no bookable prices or itineraries for them on GetYourGuide. If you want a bespoke multi-day charter or a larger yacht, you will deal with those companies directly, and my comparison is for the day-trip end of the market.
The Autoritat Portuària de Balears runs the main commercial harbour in Palma, and it is the best starting point for questions about port rules. For a day charter the operator takes care of port fees, and the Drive Mallorca listing says so: port fees are included. I mention it because it is the kind of cost that private boat quotes sometimes hide.
Yacht hire in Mallorca, like any yacht rental in Mallorca, makes the most sense for a group of six to ten people, because the price per head then drops towards a shared cruise. For ten people, the Drive Mallorca charter works out at about $107 each before fuel, while the four-hour SeaBarcelona sailing trip is listed at $107 with an open bar included. For a group of four, a smaller private boat such as SeaMallorcaTrips at $208 for up to four people is far cheaper.
Think about what the group actually wants from a yacht rental in Mallorca. A yacht with a skipper takes the pressure off navigating and gives you a base for swimming and paddleboarding. If you want to steer yourselves, look at my boat rental page, where the listings say no licence is needed, though renters now need a title under Real Decreto 1188/2025, so ask the operator. If you want a smaller private boat with a named route, my private boat tour page compares five.
A sailboat charter in Mallorca is a different animal from a motor yacht: the skipper hoists sails when the wind allows, and the pace is slower. In my data the closest bookable options are the Isla Sailing trip at $100 for 3 to 7 hours, with a private option available, the SeaBarcelona sailing yacht at $107 for four hours with up to 10 guests, and the Caribia Sailing half day from Alcúdia at $112. They are priced per trip line on the booking page, so check whether you are booking the whole boat.
None of these is a multi-day charter. If that is what you want, you will need to contact charter companies directly, and I can’t give prices for it. For a day on a sailing boat, my sailing page compares the three trips side by side.
A sailing charter in Mallorca, as opposed to a sailing tour, normally means you hire the boat and crew for yourself. In my data, Isla Sailing offers a private option, which is the nearest thing, and the miniBAR&Co private cruise at $438 is a motor boat that also teaches basic navigation, according to its listing. Both leave from Club de Mar in Palma.
When I compare a Mallorca yacht rental with a shared trip, I ask what you are paying for. On a shared boat you pay for a seat and the crew’s time, and on a charter you pay for the boat’s time and nobody else’s. That explains the gap from $100 to $505. If you are a pair, the shared sailing trip is the better value, and if you are ten, the charter is.
| Operator | Price | Duration | Boat | Rating | Cancellation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vi Charter | $505 | 2 to 5 hours | Vi Q4 motor yacht | No ratings | Free, 24 hours before |
| Drive Mallorca | $1,066 | 3 to 8 hours | Fairline Targa 52, up to 10 | 5.0 (1) | Free, 24 hours before |
For a celebration on a budget I’d start my yacht rental in Mallorca with the Vi Charter, because drinks, snacks, gratuities and a drone are in the price. For a bigger group that wants the cathedral view and a long swim stop, I’d take the Drive Mallorca yacht, and I’d confirm the fuel cost before paying. For other formats, my snorkeling page and catamaran page compare the shared trips.
Whichever yacht rental in Mallorca you choose, confirm the berth and the start time in your confirmation email. To compare the yachts with every other Mallorca boat trip, go back to boat tours in Mallorca, or start from the home page for other cities.
In my data a private yacht costs $505 for 2 to 5 hours on the Vi Q4 motor yacht from Vi Charter, or $1,066 for 3 to 8 hours on the Fairline Targa 52 from Drive Mallorca. The Drive Mallorca listing excludes fuel, which starts at 150 euros and is paid directly, so budget more than the headline.
The Drive Mallorca listing says up to 10 people on the Fairline Targa 52. The Vi Charter listing does not state a capacity in my data, so ask the operator before you book for a larger group. Both are private bookings, so the price is for the boat, not per guest.
The Drive Mallorca charter includes the skipper, the boat, port fees, safety gear, a swim platform, snorkeling gear, a SUP board, and still or sparkling water with ice. Vi Charter lists a skipper, snorkeling equipment, a drone, a SUP board, snacks, alcoholic drinks, gratuities and transport to the marina.
Both leave from Palma. Drive Mallorca meets at the boat's berth in the marina, where a skipper waits by a white Fairline Targa 52. Vi Charter asks you to wait on the promenade in front of the marina entrance, and the captain escorts you to the boat. Check the exact berth in your confirmation.
Yes. Both listings offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start for a full refund. The Drive Mallorca listing adds that after that there is no refund except in the cases it lists, so move the date early if the wind forecast looks poor.
