SEA HORSE SRL
Amalfi or Positano: Sunset Cruise with Prosecco.
4.8 (562) · from $101

An Amalfi Coast sunset cruise is a short evening boat from Amalfi or Positano, and I found three in my list of 13 trips. They cost $77, $89 and $101 per person, last 1.5 to 2.5 hours and include drinks on board. Prices are in US dollars, checked in October 2026, and the booking links are affiliate links, as I explain on my about page. All three also appear in my full comparison of boat tours on the Amalfi Coast.
My pick for an Amalfi Coast sunset cruise is the Sea Horse sunset cruise ($101, 4.8 from 562 reviews), because you can start from Amalfi or Positano. If you want the better price and a fixed pier in Amalfi, I’d take the Coast and Cuisine sunset tour ($89). The Positano Sea Tours boat ($77) is the cheapest, and the shortest.

Every sunset cruise in Amalfi Coast waters follows the same coast in my three listings: west from the starting town towards Praiano and the Fiordo di Furore, then back as the light changes. The Coast and Cuisine tour names the route from Amalfi, with stops listed as Conca dei Marini, Furore and Praiano, and it says the sun sets behind the hills of Positano. Its highlights mention the Furore Fjord and the Arc of Lovers, music and drinks, and the listing is frank about what it is for: it says the experience is designed for the sunset hours, and that if you want swimming and snorkeling you should look at the operator’s other tours.
The Sea Horse Amalfi Coast sunset cruise is similar in the equipment, a gozzo of 10 to 12 metres with toilets, a shower, music and a tent for shade. Its itinerary lists short stops of 10 to 20 minutes, a break with an aperitif and the sunset itself, with a skipper and a hostess on board. The platform summary says travellers praise the knowledgeable guides, the relaxed atmosphere and the views, and one point is that more time at the swim stop would help.
The table sets the three evening boats side by side.
| Boat | Price | Duration | Start | Boat type | Rating | Cancellation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sea Horse sunset cruise | $101 per person | 2 to 2.5 hours | Amalfi or Positano | Gozzo, 10 to 12 m | 4.8 (562) | Up to 24 hours before |
| Coast and Cuisine sunset tour | $89 per person | 2 hours | Darsena Pier, Amalfi | Gozzo, 10 to 12 m | 4.8 (526) | Free up to 24 hours before |
| Positano Sea Tours shared sunset | $77 per person | 1.5 hours | Via Regina Giovanna 3, Positano | Gozzo, about 10 m, built 2023 | 4.7 (50) | Free up to 24 hours before |
The Positano Sea Tours boat is the smallest commitment of the three Amalfi Coast sunset cruises. The listing describes a modern gozzo of about 10 metres with a canopy and a separate toilet, a professional skipper, and a steward who waits at the meeting point in front of Cala Marinai Brasserie. The route runs from Positano to Praiano and the Fiordo di Furore, and the itinerary gives about 50 minutes on the open coast with an aperitif. The platform says the price includes all taxes and fees, and the inclusions add a fuel surcharge.
Drinks on this sunset cruise in Amalfi Coast waters are limoncello, prosecco and beer, with bottled water and soft drinks, and dry snacks such as chips, peanuts and olives. The listing says 1.5 hours in the facts and 2 hours in the description, so I’d check the end time on your date before booking dinner. It has 50 reviews, 4.7 on average, and the two recent ones on 2 and 16 October both praise the evening.
The sunset sets the whole schedule of a sunset cruise in Amalfi Coast waters, and it moves a lot between summer and winter. The times below are calculated for Amalfi and Italian local time, for the 15th of each month in 2026.
| Month | Sunset | Month | Sunset |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | 4:57 PM | July | 8:32 PM |
| February | 5:34 PM | August | 8:01 PM |
| March | 6:07 PM | September | 7:12 PM |
| April | 7:39 PM | October | 6:23 PM |
| May | 8:09 PM | November | 4:45 PM |
| June | 8:33 PM | December | 4:35 PM |
Clocks in Italy go back one hour on 25 October, so the sunset jumps earlier by an hour that week. By December the sun is down before 4:40 PM, and a 2-hour cruise would have to leave in the middle of the afternoon. None of the three listings states a departure time, and the Sea Horse description says only that it departs in the late afternoon. I would check the time on the booking page for your date, and I’d choose the earliest departure if you want the light, not just the dusk.
The listings are short on packing advice, which fits a short trip. The Coast and Cuisine sunset tour asks for ID or a passport, sunglasses, a hat, swimwear, a towel and sunscreen, and bans pets, oversize luggage, baby strollers and large bags. The Sea Horse cruise lists the same items without the passport and adds a camera and biodegradable sunscreen. After sunset the air on the water cools, so I’d add a light layer for an Amalfi Coast sunset cruise in autumn, even though no listing says so. The Positano boat bans pets and food brought on board.
No listing gives a season or a closing date. Reviews of the Sea Horse sunset cruise are dated up to 14 October, the Coast and Cuisine sunset tour up to 4 October and the Positano Sea Tours boat up to 16 October, so the boats are still running as I write. Many boats on this coast stop in late October or November, so I’d confirm your date before planning an Amalfi Coast sunset cruise, and I would not book the last evening of a trip without a spare day. Weather matters too: the Positano boat has no stated weather policy in the text I have, so ask what happens if the sea is rough.
The three boats suit three evenings. The Positano Sea Tours boat suits a couple who are already in Positano and want an hour and a half on the water before dinner, because the meeting point is on Via Regina Giovanna in the town itself and the whole trip is short. The Coast and Cuisine boat suits anyone staying in Amalfi: the Darsena Pier is the yellow lighthouse in the town centre, a few minutes from the Flavio Gioia statue, and the trip lasts 2 hours. The Sea Horse boat suits a mixed group, because you choose Amalfi or Positano as the start, and its listing includes a skipper and a hostess.
None of the three is a private sunset. If you want one boat for your group, the private trips on my private boat tour page cost $763 to $842 per boat, and they are longer. For couples, the shared boats are the cheaper option, and their listing text calls the evening romantic or relaxed, while one says outright that it is for sunset hours with drinks and music.
A dinner cruise is not in my list of Amalfi Coast sunset cruises. The closest things are the sunset boats with snacks and prosecco, and the private trips, such as Amalfi Cruises at $802, which stop for lunch at a local restaurant. If you want a longer evening, the Dufour sailboat on my sailing page is $72 and returns under sail at sunset, though it has only 2 reviews. For a swim in the day, see Amalfi Coast snorkeling.
Whichever sunset cruise Amalfi Coast operator you pick, book a free-cancellation option, arrive at the pier early, and keep dinner for after the return. The full list is on my boat tours page, and my home page lists other cities.
In my list the shared Positano sunset boat is $77 per person for 1.5 hours, the Coast and Cuisine sunset tour from Amalfi is $89 for 2 hours, and the Sea Horse cruise from Amalfi or Positano is $101 for 2 to 2.5 hours. Prices are in US dollars, checked in October 2026. All three include drinks on board.
For most visitors I'd book the Sea Horse sunset cruise at $101, rated 4.8 from 562 reviews, because it starts from either Amalfi or Positano. If you want the better price and a fixed meeting point, the Coast and Cuisine tour at $89 is rated 4.8 from 526 reviews and leaves from Amalfi's Darsena Pier.
Calculated for Amalfi and Italian local time, sunset on the 15th is 6:23 PM in October, 4:45 PM in November and 4:35 PM in December. In summer it is about 8:32 PM in July. Clocks go back on 25 October. The listings give no departure times, so check the page for your date.
The Coast and Cuisine tour meets at the Darsena Pier in Amalfi, the yellow lighthouse near Piazza Flavio Gioia. The Positano Sea Tours boat meets in front of Cala Marinai Brasserie on Via Regina Giovanna 3 in Positano. The Sea Horse cruise offers two starting points, Amalfi or Positano, depending on the option you select.
No dinner cruise appears in my list. The sunset boats include drinks and light food: fruit or salty snacks and prosecco on the Coast and Cuisine tour, and chips, peanuts and olives on the Positano Sea Tours boat. Prosecco and limoncello are listed on all three. If you want dinner, plan it ashore after you return.
All three listings say you can cancel up to 24 hours before the start for a full refund, according to the booking-platform text. A sunset trip depends on the weather and the sea, and I'd read the policy on the page and keep a spare evening in case the date moves.
